How many of you remember "1 Adam-12?"
Actor Martin Milner, a.k.a. Officer Pete Malloy answered his last call in Adam -12.
He passed away last night at the age of 83. |
I watched 1 Adam 12 when I was a kid. :Kaleun_Thumbs_Up: RIP.
|
according to wiki, Martin Milner died 9/6/2015; not last night:hmmm:
|
2015, I think. Still a lot longer ago than last night.
|

|
I'm going to fire my secretary ... :D
I'm watching CNN's confirmation hearings :yep: Do I look like I have time to check out everything that comes across my desk on Facebook? |
However..... I don't think that show came to the UK (not when I was a kid anyway) but it looks like one we would've enjoyed very much
|
It is comforting to know that Martin Milner is still dead in 2018
|
Any word on General Franco?...

I know the show was on, that's about it. I don't remember the show.
nikimcbee, I certainly remember Emergency. I watched it when I was a kid, and watch the reruns now. |

One interesting fact everybody seems to miss is that, while their car number was indeed 1-Adam-12, the title of the show was just "Adam-12". |
He was also a star on Route 66 on CBS from 1960 to 1964 which made me always want a new Corvette, but I got 1966 Mustang instead.

But their call sign was 1 Adam 12. That breaks down to Division 1 (central division) Adam (two person patrol car) and 12 which was the number of the vehicle. Absolutely boring and uninteresting trivia: In the TV program, 1 Adam 12 operated in which was actually the Second division. It shared the same division as the TV program Emergency which took place in the Second Division. So the actual call sign should have been 2 Adam 12. But no one would really care about that. |

Martin Milner...Kurt...McCord? Certainly remember watching it.
Milner starred too in a made for T.V movie too, "Runaway" (I think that was the title) which surrounded a supposed runaway ski train, which was shot on the railroad grade not far from my home here (10 miles). I could tell you a lot about the film (Ben Johnson was the Hogger/Engineer), but this is really about subs, so.... |

General Francisco Franco? Yeah, he's still dead (SNL, late seventies...when it was still actually funny). SNL is still dead too. :D |
