TWOS restore captains icons pack

Hi there Guys....

I was searching today for Captain images here to add into the SH5 TWOS campaign since originally it haves not ...So I grabbed some pictures and made this pack of five different Captain faces to your game ...


To install this just use JSGME and install the Icon of your choice there are 10 individual Captain Different icon mods inside this pack just unrar it somewhere in your desktop and inside you will find a sub-folder and inside it the 10 different individual icon mods , pic one and drag it to JSGME and install it normally...To help you have on the main folder images to help you decide what Captain face you want

LOL....Those are ok but will release a better quality one soon that I am working on...Maybe I will also remake some of the screens over TWOS that I completely dislike, Things like the intro loading screen, or the in game Cpt log, Messages screens etc...some stuff are just there screaming to be improved...LOL:Kaleun_Cheers:

That is perfect .. I saw how another captain was able to edit his captain's picture with his own face using photoshop. something that I will attempt as well. Thanks, JC for your work :Kaleun_Salute:

I have done that once...thought you have to get a photo that is the right angle of the captain photo you want to change the face but it can be done I have done it in the past ...:Kaleun_Thumbs_Up:

Hii!maybe is a noobie question (I am) but, is this mod compatible with started games? I dont want to begin a new game but I want this mod...

Should be. I didn't install it but did change captain's picture mid game with no problems , and that's precisely what this mod does.

This mod is perfectly compatible with any version of SH5 (vanilla, Sober, TWoS ...) because it modifies the captain.dds file which is only a small graphic file of around 16,000 Bytes and can be activated at any time without any problem.
If it can be useful then I propose again my version of the "TWOS restore captain's icon by Torpedo" mod which restores exclusively the captain's original icon with the same graphics as the crew icons. I had made and published this mod already in 2016 because, I don't know the reason yet, but with TWoS the captain's icon becomes blind (the alpha channel of the image with Paint.net is = 0 therefore perfectly transparent) even if with Photoshop the image is perfect. Maybe it may depend on my graphics card NVidia GTX970 (always updated). Other users may have still the same problem and this small mod, that can be activated at any time, could solve the problem.

Add your Captain Image
 

Now! go one further, and add your own captain image!!!

Unzip this thing, copy anyone of those folders, for instance --> ../TWOS restore captain's icon 6 by JCWolf
Drill down into the folder ../Crew. There, edit or replace the captain.dds file with anyone of your images. I replaced the captain.dds image with Otto Kretschmer :)
