h.sie woes
Guys, I have a problem. MY sh3.exe won't accept the h.sie mod. It is V1.4.0.1, But the h.sie mod rejects it. My copies of SH3 were purchased through Amazon and downloaded, which could be the source of the problem. Anyone have any suggestions?

Did you put it a 4GB patch before you patch the Exe ?
|
yes, is that the problem?
EDIT: Uninstalled the 4Gb patch - no change. Deleted the game and reinstalled with the original installation files - no change. |

Hi ods
What is your games installation path. Peter https://s10.postimg.org/4lyxiggjt/ls...oad_banner.gif |
Game path is: C:\SH3W
Trying to DL the cleaner file triggers my AV, so I passed on that. It's probably fine, but not taking the chance I hunted through a bunch of my old files and found a NOSF sh3.exe that would patch, so I'm good. I do wonder though, why the Amazon executables won't patch. I have Admin, audit and Owner rights to the h.sie work folder . I ran the CMD prompt in God mode. It shows 1.4.0.1 for the version in details. I removed the Archive attribute, but that changed nothing. No other attributes are associated with the file. To quote Henry Fonda in Midway "It just doesn't make sense" I'm not going to fuss with it anymore, I have a working file, but the mystery of it does annoy me. |
Hi ods
Good to see you have got your game working. Peter |

Well, my Sh3.exe from a new Ubi Store purchase is actually named sh3_g.exe with a sig of Jan 2016.
Unfortunatelly H.sie's patch does not recognize it. Hope it will be updated eventually :hmmm: |

Sh3 g ex ...strange!! But First Rename "Sh3_g.exe" to Sh3.exe" .. Delete just "_g" and probe lunch game |
As you can see, there is a small sh3.exe file too. I renamed the sh3_g.exe to sh3.exe and tried to Patch_SH3.bat it. But same result. It's just not the same file as the older Versions I guess.

No important if you "uninstall 4gb patch" Your. Exe is unusable for hsie patch Need uninstall game, clean registry And reinstall SH3 ... what your Mod list? |
Probably your sh3.exe is bloatware version of sh3.exe
Solve this problem with: http://www.mediafire.com/file/babdcs...ummies_1.01.7z :Kaleun_Thumbs_Up: |

For hsie patch installation, simply use this sh3.exe.Backup and rename it sh3.exe :-) |
I had the same problem as you,do not apply the 4GB patch first, run the h.sie batch file, and then you can proceed with 4GB patch.

A greviance for sure.
Currently experiencing the same problems as metus. I'm using the Ubisoft version (1.4.0.1), and I've followed several guides, yet to no avail. The main trouble lay's in the hsie patch. It just refuses to recognise my sh3_exe file (which is named sh3_g_exe, exactly like metus's!) I have not installed the 4GB patch nor any other mod. I got the steam version too, but I had serious trouble with even launching the game (which has been solved by now). However, when I tried to patch with hsie on steam, it actually worked, yet immediately got stuck again with the 4GB patch as it refused to recognise a compatible version of the sh3_exe. At this point, I've read a couple of day's worth of forum chats, both on steam and the forum. IF anyone has an idea of what I should do, please let me know. I'm going to use GWX, SH3C, and hsie's, of course, along with JSGM and some other smaller cosmetic mods. Hopefully, I can figure out where the trouble lies; however, outside assistance is greatly appreciated. :Kaleun_Salute:

I think the most important thing to do is to do a completely clean install to a clean directory and then use MultiSH3 to copy into individual installs for GWX, LSH, etc. You then know you have an original SH3.exe to copy over should you screw up any of the myriad operations (Star force removal, 4GB, H.Sie, Stiebler, and Tycho's mods being the usual ones requiring patching of the executable). |
welcome aboard!
