Return of the dutch crew - 2nd International Meeting - The aftermath after 14 years
 

Right. In 2004 Neal hosted the 2nd International SubSim Meeting in Galveston. It was an event that I think back to with fond memories and has grown to mythic proportions :)

..remember sounding the sub alarm by the dutch crew in the middle of the night..
..remember that on the Battleship Texas we got the GRAND tour by being inventive and a good story... (wont go into details what we said but we got a tour through sections that are normally never opened to the public...)...

... So I say we try to get the old gang together again and relive the moment and surpass the experience.

When was the last meeting being held?

I believe it was 2008 ? in Copenhagen.

There was another in 2010 in the Boston are but I was unable to attend.

It would be fun to have another meet but all the old gang have gone their separate ways. That magic only lasted a few years. :hmmm:

I decided to send a pm to several people to jank their chains. Sofar I got a message from Sharky and she said that Drebbel also read it.
We shall see what we can arrange :)

No, I'm afraid not. Houston in 2008 was the only one I've ever been to.

Would either of you be interested in participating in a new meeting in the US in 2019?

Are you still active on the cavalla site?
What would the minimum amount of people that need to attend to throw a meet again at that site? (Maybe some people would also be interested in a road trip through the states with several stops (Cavalla being one).
