I had never heard of it. It looks like it would be worth seeing, however. Please
let us know when it's completed and where we can see it when you find out.

First I have seen of this mini series. Looks very very promising to be a great series.

If only there was a site on the internet where you could type in words and it would then search the internet for stuff that matches the search words you gave.

They could call it Googly (like 'Googly Eyes') or something.

it was discussed in the news last year, but no news since then and I have tried to find some from time to time.

I am not even sure it is still in the works or not.

I asked the same question over on Britmodeller a few months ago, apparently it's either been canned or it's on indefinate hold.

If that is indeed the case, then it's probably due to network squeamishness about the subject matter. The same reason why you'll never get a series on Bomber Command, if you see what I mean....

most likely it is a dollar issue, pure and simple, "Band of Brothers" was a huge hit, the "Pacific" some what less so. Is there an appetite for a third WW2 spielberg/Hanks mini-series?

The economics is also changing, HBO had the market cornered on high concept/big budget series, but now Netflix is really coming on strong and cutting into their market.

That's unfortunate.

All the sources I've seen on the show seem to date back to mid-2015. One would think they might make some sort of announcement about the status of the show, though.

I've been casually following the news on it. It's supposed to be on the same lines as Band of Brothers and The Pacific. From what I could tell, it's definitely going to air, just don't know exactly when.
