More Wildlife and Happy Endings

Apparently, the heat in lake Tahoe was Un-Bearable as a Black Bear family and 2 cubs were cooling off alongside other visitors. The cubs were seen playing in the water, oblivious to the people around them.

Drowning leopard trapped in 60-foot well took the only way out;

Quote:
The resident of Pimpalgaon Siddhanath village in the Junnar division of Maharashtra immediately contacted the Forest Department, which sent out a call to the Manikdoh Leopard Rescue Center operated by Wildlife SOS, according to The Indian Express and press statements. “The leopard was in a state of panic and had to be rescued immediately,” Dr. Ajay Deshmukh, senior veterinarian of the rescue center, said in a statement.

There is a video of the leopard rescue in Yahoo.

The leopard apparently didn't suffer any long term effects and was released back into it's natural environment.

I get the Impression that your idea of " wildlife " is the local pub at 2 A.M in the morning :D

By the way, is that felinously or felonious ? Now that is a play on words.
:haha:

Eichhörnchen 08-04-16 03:37 PM

You're absolutely right, Aktung... a pun it wasn't :D

Glad to see u get it! I actually hold the world Guinness record for time between 'the barkeep's 'last call' and my 'honky-tonk hot date' selection:smug: (Thank god they keep the lights low): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-nkLMWDUt4

TO WIT; my double entendre of play on words for pun was a rhetorical excursion for the purpose of amusement brought on by relentless pursuit of a 'happy ending'-soda speke!.....

Mickey Gilley is a great Honky Tonk Piano Player. He is a bit like Jerry Lee Lewis which is appropriate since I understand they are related.

As far as last call and keeping the lights low, remember. You always meet a better class of people in the dark . :O:

Interesting.

A nice change from all the morosity we see so often...

When I first saw the thread title, I immediately thought about the ''Battle at Kruger''.

Perhaps the most spectacular thing I've seen on youtube :arrgh!:

(you can skip the first 2 minutes)

Actually, the reason the thread title is More wildlife..... was in direct reference to the whale video you posted. I thought you and others might enjoy seeing the videos and reading the stories associated with them.

Aktungbby 08-06-16 09:17 AM

Well those poor starving lions certainly got 'buffaloed' outta their (decaf) breakfast!:know:
Quote:

buf·fa·loed, buf·fa·lo·ing, buf·fa·loes
1. To intimidate or frighten, as by a display of authority: "The board couldn't buffalo the federal courts as it had the Comptroller" (American Banker).
2. To confuse or deceive: "Too often ... job seekers have buffaloed lenders as to their competency and training" (H. Jane Lehman).

Can't find a video link in english but the thing I'm watching right now is called ''Ultimate honey badger'' by Earth-Touch (on my dvr recorder).

And it's really impressive how robust and fierce this little creature is (I knew it was but not to that point).

If really hungry, it can chase a viper or a cobra, kill it, fall in coma if bitten (would have been fatal to any creature), resurrect 2 hours later then finish his meal.:o

His thick and elastic skin make it very hard (even for lions) to bite. Only a very patient and determined feline can overcome.

Ok there's no ''happing ending'' it just amaze me all the might nature can create...
