March 13th
A major
pain in the for a watch collector...especially with the leap year date-change thrown in- I held off a 'fornight' so I only do one adjustment for both! :smug:

Clocks go forward one hour on Sunday 27th March here in the UK.

Ugh, the crown on my wristwatch is broken so I'll have to set the time by taking the watch apart and manually turn the hands :/\\!!

Is Slovenia in one of our time zones?

Central European time, same as Berlin or Paris.
6 hours ahead of New York.

If you mean when we change to daylight savings, it's on the 27th like the rest of Europe.

AVGWarhawk 03-08-16 04:52 PM

I don't have time for this. :hmph:

But.... the clock is ticking. :know:

mapuc 03-08-16 05:25 PM

you shall not put the time 1 hour ahead or one hour back - you need to put it aside for 1 hour

Daylight Savings? What, may I ask, is the interest rate?...

There is a growing move in California to opt out of the whole forward and back of the time changes. The supposed advantages to be gained haven't really panned out and recent studies have shown the shifts in time are more detrimental than effective...

Same here in Utah. We've been trying to get rid of it for years, but it hasn't happened yet.

Okay good ... I'm glad Slovenia is not in Utah then :D

I heard that the old USSR has 12 times zones

Hawaii is the only state in the US that doesn't have to change their clocks ... like never.

March 27th is Easter this year ... did you know that?

August 03-08-16 08:13 PM

I dunno, People complain a lot about DST but I kind of like that extra hour of daylight after work, and changing a few clocks twice a year really isn't that big of a chore to me.

My only complaint is that DST switches always take place on the weekend. How about we "Spring ahead" at 2pm on a Friday afternoon? :D

magic452 03-09-16 01:39 AM

Arizona doesn't use daylight savings time either.

I kind of like the extra hour myself.

Magic

The summer shift doesn't bother me.
It's the winter one. I start work at 7 am and it's still dark I get off work at 3 pm and at 4pm it's already dark.
By the time I take a shower and have lunch it's already night time :/\\!!
If they just left it at the summer set up I'd had an extra hour of light during winter
I need to wait untill wekend to get some sunshine :wah:

I feel your pain Brother. I'm off to work by 6:30am and not home usually until home until 6pm. The only sunlight I see in the winter is through the office windows.
