Transgender ruling, boy allowed in girl's locker room.
I'm pretty damn liberal, but this is going too far. They gave every accommodation to this trans boy with male parts, but he demanded full access to be in the girl's locker room, shower, dress, etc...
Question is, if this is the future, will all restrooms, locker rooms, etc, just be unisex and would you be OK with it? Do our children that don't want to see the nakedness or share showers with others of the opposite gender, does this invade their privacy rights? http://www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/US-.../03/id/700273/ |
I'm sure no woman would mind this person being in the restroom with her, of course.

Which transgender has to register with selective service?

If unisex restrooms had seperate cubicles then I see no problem with it. After all you only remove clothing in the cubicle itself so where's the harm. You'd need the cubicle to run floor to ceiling and have a good internal lock to prevent perverts, but otherwise it should work fine.

Pha, we used to share one locker room in high school with girls because we'd otherwise have to share the boys locker room with a rival class (and the rival girls we're using the boys locker room).
So we saw eachother in underwear, big deal. My boxer shorts we're clean. No one was raped, no one got pregnant, no one is traumatised today and that one gay in class was gay before high school. Quote:
Because such seperation was never forced upon me and the first time I saw female genitalia was when I was 5 or 6, reading the family medical manual and I walked away from it un-affected. I shudder to think what trauma would be caused by my mother freaking out over it. |

As long as there is the means for absolute privacy for each individual (lockable cubicle) I wouldn't have thought it should be too problematic.

That scene is from star wars, not star trek :O:
the manual was for ordinary folk, mostly layman terms. And my mother used it for helping me learn to read. At 5 I was still reading by repeating each letter, I admit. The point was there be naked ladies and naked gents in there and I was not traumatised. |

Damn, that's from one old book :o The dialect used in that book is 16th century Slovene. Quote:
When I was bullied she told me to knock the bullies teeth out. I was a weakling so I failed  Plus she works in healthcare so medicine manuals were the obvious choice. The ''exposure'' to the opposite gender made me a better person. I'm a perfect gentleman that respects other peoples privacy and I turn my back if a woman is comfortable next to me, but didn't invite me to watch. I Blame it on the fact that naked people were never taboo for me so I find it very un-special and fin dno need to drool ''bewbz'' every time I see breasts. Taboos create interest. You want your child to become profoundly interested in something ??? Forbid it to him/her !!!!!! |

I did write it like I knew what tracheotomy was at 5
That was my mistake. |

I was actually lucky with that old med manual.
It had pictures of organs, operations, some injuries but most first aid part was with black and white drawings. Now the manual I got at my time with the Red Cross, my god, actual photos of actual injuries. That gave me shiwers as an adult, it would have given me nightmares as a child. Do you know when an accident rips your thumb out of your hand, a 30cm ligament is pulled out with it :o |
Well, it seems if you just claim now you can be, but I wonder if I claimed to be a black lesbian woman if I could claim minority status, loans, bid projects, etc...Where does the line get drawn on this one. I see Houston voted down a prop on trans using public restrooms in mass, .....so will this end up being a civil rights issue the courts have to deal with for good.
I wonder how a woman would feel if she were in a public restroom alone and a man walked in. This is one of my claims it should be private, because it is a place where a woman could become easy prey to a stronger man, no cams in restrooms, often women alone, clothes off.... not to mention men peeing all over the seat.... Common sense on many levels to keep it separate. I don't see it as a rights issue, because if you have a penis, you have the same rights as other penises to use the same restroom. |
