Turn off crew fatigue
Ahoi Kaleuns, :salute:
I just got my gwx-Installation running again with widescreen. I runs stable, it looks gorgeous, I love it! But alas, now I want to turn off fatigue and dont find a way in gmx. Searching the forums I found out that I can turn it off via sh3 commander. But then I find threads saying that it is tricky to install sh3-commander with gwx and you have to move some files here and there. Reading all these threads I fear I will ruin mmy precioussss installation if i try this making an error in the process. In another thread they say you can edit basic.cfg. I found the file and the section and here comes my question: Is changing FatigueMax=0.5 to a high number the right way to turn off fatigue? Good hunting Ratatoeskr |
Hi,
if you know where to go - Basic.cfg - just replace the existing fatigue model with this one: [FATIGUE_COEF] ;comp 0 RegularFactor00=0 SpecificFactor00=0 BadWeather0=0 ;comp1 RegularFactor10=0 RegularFactor11=0 SpecificFactor10=0 SpecificFactor11=0 BadWeather1=0 ;comp2 RegularFactor20=0 RegularFactor21=0 SpecificFactor20=0 SpecificFactor21=0 BadWeather2=0 ;comp3 RegularFactor30=0 RegularFactor31=0 SpecificFactor30=0 SpecificFactor31=0 BadWeather3=0 ;comp4 RegularFactor40=0 RegularFactor41=0 SpecificFactor40=0 SpecificFactor41=0 BadWeather4=0 ;comp5 RegularFactor50=0 RegularFactor51=0 SpecificFactor50=0 SpecificFactor51=0 BadWeather5=0 ;comp6 SpecificFactor60=-0.1 SpecificFactor61=-0.1 ;comp7 SpecificFactor70=-0.1 SpecificFactor71=-0.1 ;comp8 RegularFactor80=0 RegularFactor81=0 SpecificFactor80=0 SpecificFactor81=0 BadWeather8=0 ;comp9 RegularFactor90=0 SpecificFactor90=0 BadWeather9=0 ;comp10 RegularFactor100=0 SpecificFactor100=0 BadWeather10=0 ;comp 11 RegularFactor110=0 RegularFactor111=0 SpecificFactor110=0 SpecificFactor111=0 BadWeather11=0 Thats the way we are using it - an SH3_Cmdr too. It looks like Rowi58 has the information you need, but I wanted to address one thing.

Thank you all for your quick input
... I will use the file Steve pointed out to install the commander!
Kind regards Ratatoeskr |

There is a simple batch file, created by VikingGrandad, which does the file exchange for you. Just download, unzip, and run. Nothing to mess with or mess up. Easy and reliable. What's to fear? Download it here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=1421 |
Ashes on my head
I am sorry - didn't want to spread such rumour. In fact my problems with my sh3-gwx installation had their root in a win8 / gpu driver issue. And after spending many hours troubleshooting you are quite reluctant changing anything if you are not really sure you dont break anything.
Installing the commander with the auxilliary file you pointed me to worked perfectly and gwx runs without problems. best regards Ratatoeksr |

You did nothing wrong Ratatoeksr, you had a question, they answered, and you are up and running. All is good.

This works perfectly

No Problem with Sh3 Commander?
Steve,
Are you running Windows 7? There have definitely been problems with SH3 Cmdr/CWX/Windows 7. I know. I have them. Of the solutions offered in other threads, this computer dolt could only understand or successfully implement the "don't use SH3 Cmdr" one. I really miss SH3 Cmdr! A lot! David I |
David I, You whine in all topics, instead of carefully reading the recommendations. This is no longer a problem. SH3 Commander works as it should in Win7.
|
Anvar,
Whine? On all Topics? I must be far busier on this site than I knew. The slings and arrows......Oh, you cut me to the bone. OK. I'll give it another shot. Order goes: SH3 4 gig patch Sub Cmdr 3.2 Sub Cmdr 3.2 patch for GWX JSME GWX And that's it, yes? No more, "Sub Cmdr is running....", Rundle.dll (wtf is that anyway?), no more having to change register permissions, etc.? Joy! David I |

Fatigue can be changed in SH3 Commander's Game Play Settings there is no need to start altering files.

Changing the Gameux.dll
Anvar,
Like I said, I tried all the solutions. I tried changing the gameux.dll to something else but my computer refuses to let me rename that file. Neither left clicking nor right clicking it would allow me to change it. When I tried just erasing the .dill by backspacing my computer smugly informed me that I can't do that. Really frustrating, I can tell you. David I |

Administrator Rights
Anvar,
When I say I am a Computer "Old Duffer" or "No Nothing", I'm not kidding. To paraphrase Gollum, "What's Administrator Rights Precious?" I've never dealt with them before so I really don't even know where to start. So when you generously offer me a solution "that can be done in two clicks of the mouse" and my first click has the computer telling me I can't do that, I am at a dead end. That's why I have, to date, pursued those paths I do know how to do because someone else has provided a "go to x, do y" and Bob's your Uncle the fatigue (or whatever) has gone away. I'm not whining, I'm merely computer retarded, and I bet I'm not alone, in a minority sure, but not alone. David I |
I sincerely sympathize with you and try to help. Can you ask for help from a friend or ask for help through remote access?
