They call that tripe a teaser?

Meh!

STEED 11-28-14 01:45 PM

Don't know about the new dodgy lightsaber look. :hmmm:

Schroeder 11-28-14 01:45 PM

Not enough input to form an opinion. But after the disasters that the prequels where it can't get much worse and it will be cool to see the old crew again (hopefully...).

nikimcbee 11-28-14 01:48 PM

Still early though. Do we know much about the storyline yet?

Steed, since you're in the UK, if you could drop by the set with a camera, that would be great. Just remember to NOT wear the Klingon outfit this time, you'll give yourself away.:know:

At first I thought it is a parody/fake teaser.

When I saw the light saber ignite, I just wished it would be a parody.
What a useless, impractical design that just yells:
"Quick, we need something new in the lightsaber department, any ideas??!"
"Yeah, why not give it a cross guard like medieval swords have, oh and make it look like a flaming sword, not just a laser...oh and make it orange, red isn't cool right now!"
"Awesome, let's ruin err do it! So kewl!"

Go home Abrams, you're drunk. :nope:
I bet SW8 will have a "rainbow" blade and/or a silver/black core lightsaber.
And yes, lightsaber design/appearance in SW IS important. Absolutely.

*sigh*

Welcome to the club Nippelspanner, now the Star Wars fans are getting a taste of what he did to Trek. :salute:

Problem is some of us will suffer twice now!

My expectations went way down with the Millennium Falcon "look what we can do with camera angles" thing.

Edit:
So, Episode III was set 19 years before Episode IV, and Episode VII is set 30 years after Episode VI.
In the less than two decades the Empire was in power, the technology increased, and we saw different ships being used in the two eras.
In the three decades since the fall of the Empire, technology seems to have stagnated, and we're seeing the same X-Wings, TIE Fighters, and YT-1300 as before.

Wow. The New Republic really didn't have their stuff together.

Well, the X-Wings were brand new in Episode IV I believe and if you compare that to the real world it's not that far fetched as the F15 and F16 have been around for an equally long time.
