[REL] PC 461 class subchaser

The vessels were Diesel powered and had exhausts on both sides of the hull. Since there's no Diesel smoke in standard SH3, the model comes smokeless. What appears to be the funnel is the engine room's air intake vent. Cheers -- the Frog |

I try to do models that work with plain SH3, and so, they "should" fit all Super Mods.
However, my primary testing platforms are Living Silent Hunter 5.1 and the newest version of Rowi58's CCoM. In result, some models contain(ed) links to items not in all Super Mods (I remember some trouble with a visual sensor ...). I am far from perfect :88) |

Hi Frog I have a question - I installed the mod and it works ok in game but the PC-461 seem to be torpedo resistant! After a torpedo hit nothing much happens while a far larger vessel easily succumbs to a similar shot. can you fix this problem or point at the solution? Thanks.

Sorry Frog , my bad mistake - after a few more tests I did succed in sinking the PCs with one torpedo.
What prompted me to write is that in the first instance, was the fact taht after torpedoing a PC with a magnetic G7, it proceeded depth charging me with two more colleagues without sinking. I would love to add more of your ships (CL Arethusa, DD Isacc Sweers) to the game but I experinece CTDs after JGSME announces that enabling them would have adverse affect on the game. |
If the magnetic is set too deep, it may fail to destroy the vessel. Since small (and in terms of the game very light) it may even been blown out of the water, spin around, drop back into water (releasing survivors and debris) but still move on ...
The problems with installing the other ships could be due to the order of enabling. They came with different libraries, which, with time, contained more and more items but still kept name. When installing an older ship after a more recent, that will overwrite a recent with an older library. With the items missing, the game will CTD. Most critical are the lookouts and guns_UK libraries. So, make sure to enable the most recent models last (check the documentation for the time line), |
