[WIP] Verbesserte Rettungsboot_und_Schutt
With permissions from all needed being granted?
I'm takeing the lifeboats and debris mods and blending them into a single mod. So version 4 of Lifeboats&debris gets mixed with IABL's Wooden boats and more. Adjustments include: My SH4 wooden boat along with Targor Avelany's SH5 wooden boat optimized for SH3/4, Animations adjustments/additions to get a greater eye candy thing going on, Whatever else I have handy to throw in. :haha: Any questions? :hmmm: Good. I thought not. :D |
sound good to me, thanks

Such a mod made by Privateer?! Could`nt wait.
I hope it will be usable in all "Big Mods" as LSH and CCOM. Rowi use his own Debrismodversion for CCOM. Best regards:salute: |
fine, thx!

It's about time, ya lazy slug! :stare: :O:
Just so there's no confusion, I've been badgering him about this for years. :D |
Nuff said! |
Not sure about cross compatibility with other major mods at this time.
LB&D works by adding to the .val files of each Unit. So things like IABL's MFM and newer Units may be missing critical info. I'm looking into doing a script for 010 to scan and add the needed stuff 1st. Then maybe I'll do a stand alone program for others to use. First goal is to get the wooden boats working with LB&D version 4. I'm almost finished re-working Targor's SH5 boat. |
Here's a render of the 2 wooden boats that will be included.

I'll see about makeing stuff destructable this time around also.
You may not get a - on renown but you'll have to live with yourself. Then if you post you shot up the life boats? We can all dis you and call you murderer! Maybe a special KILLER badge could be hooked to you here at Subsim for awhile? :har: |

it is just the original Version of Rubini, his first version. But let's see what hapens. Greetings rowi58 |
Nice work, Jeff
It would also be very nice to have very primitive wooden rafts. In one of Buchheim's books there are quite a few photos of really primitive rafts (basically a few wooden pallets tied together). It's written there that those rafts were just put on the deck and were popular in case the ship sunk very fast. Regards, LGN1 |

It's only 340 faces so has very lttle impact compared to the wooden boats. :) http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n...allet_test.jpg |

I'd like to know if there were conflicts, ctd's, etc. I can scan for ID problems in a limited way to try to make it work wwith all major mods. I've also looked at the val changes and can write a program to do changes on any Ship Unit by scanning the Sea folder. |
Hi privateer,
no, i did not. But i think that Rubini's later version are o.k.. Greetings rowi58 |

You might also make a larger one by taking four of them together and then two layers of this (8 pellets in total). Here are some pictures of another kind of raft that seems to have been used quite often: http://www.ssarkansan.com/home/ameri.../cape-san-juan (quite far down the page) http://www.veterans.gc.ca/eng/rememb...ence/suboffens http://survivor-story.com/poon-lim-s.../#.UxZCc4UaaUk Regards, LGN1 |

:salute: I started one like Poon-Lim survived on. I found several more images of the same type raft so it was kind of common and that will allow me to scale it fairly well. I took a few liberties on the 55 gal drums. :D http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n...l.jpg~original http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n...6/Barrel-2.jpg |
I am getting excited...this is almost as good as when lifeboats/rafts were first announced several years ago.
Will there also be Carley Rafts? Everyone's probably seen those donut-shaped rafts that they strapped to the sides of warship turrets...they were also popular during the war... http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d5...t.jpg~original It would also be interesting if the survivors could be triggered to fire a flare gun or toss a smoke pot....not to overwhelm you; do whatever you can! |
