Help cheer up a dying WW2 vet

If it's real, I hope they can get this guy what he needs. I don't have the power, or I would.

However, I know there's a lot of fakes out there. So I'm a little skeptical. I'm all about helping veterans and thanking them...but when I see it on the internet, a red flag goes up in my mind. This one looks to be legit though.

If this was legit I think they could easily have found an outlet in the general news. My Spidey Sense is tingling.....

They're asking for greeting cards, not money. No harm in sending one.

Agreed and if anyone can send the gentleman one in my name I'd gladly reimburse via Paypal or donate the cost to SubSim.

You don't have the power to send a Christmas card or even just a note thanking him for his service? The old guy needs cheering up, not your money.

And BTW the Honor Flight organization is a well respected non-profit.

Took me longer to take the photo and upload it to Photobucket than writing out the card. It will be in the mail today!

I can't send one...meaning...I don't have money for it.

I really would like to thank him for his service...but certain things cost money...and money is very very very tight for me now that I have to pay for my own gas.

Until I get a job, I have no income.

A stamp is just 48 cents but,...whatever.

I reread the letter, he's a Navy vet!!:hmmm: We need to get him on the PT-Boat for a ride. PT-vets ride for free, as do Navy(?) vets. I'll go get him a card at lunchtime.

Speaking of that, go give your local WW2 vets a hug, they need it.
