Court rules bin Laden death photos can stay secret

I can understand that court ruling. Pictures of Osama with a newly installed flow through ventilation system through his cranial cavity would probably just rile up the jihadist ragheads and motivate them to new levels of stupidity in their quest for 42 virgins.

Well in order to earn a place in such a paradise you would have to be truly worthy of the reward.I see what the terrorists do as a perversion of religion so they wont actually earn anything they are being tricked to perform the deeds of other men not God(Allah).

which dictates that enemy combatants that are captured are to be treated with kindness.

Was nothing secret about the things he did. USS cole was not secret, the people jumping out of a skyscraper on 9-11 was not secret...If you were within a few blocks, you can hear the wails...

Why does Bin Laden deserve dignity that he denied to others? Since we (USA) is the worldwide butchers now (to blame for everything, not the peace loving Muzzies)), we should at least do something to deserve that title.

I agree with Jimbuna on this one to display Bin Laden in anyway makes him have more value by wiping him out the way they did he is gone and gets no glory.

I can assure that the Seals did not urinate on his body either they would have no need to their skill their craft is warfare that is all they need to do a truly elite warrior does not need to stoop to the level of desecration.

What ever burial he got the Seals would not have been present they where probably back at base sleeping by that point.They said that they prepped his body in the traditional Muslim manor.That would actually be a huge insult because a mujahid(read my previous post about the whole jihad thing) dies they are not buried in the traditional manor though by burying Bin Laden at sea like they did they in effect deny that he was ever a mujahid one heck of a blow.

no nation wanted his body either so where else would you bury him.

It was the best choice really because a body becomes a shrine to some and in modern times even a photo can become a shrine or symbol.For that reason alone it makes perfect sense to keep the death photos secret at least for some time.

Honestly if a person has been shot in the face or head by a 5.56mm bullet or two there is not very much to see and you usually can not tell who the person was beyond perhaps their race becuase most of their facial tissue will be destroyed and their head will be split open .So the photos would not actually satisfy anyone.Any doubters would claim that it was fake.

yeah they could release any gruesome picture like that and we would not know the difference.
