SkyBaron's Leigh Light for Silent Hunter 5

This is my first mod for SH5, so go easy on me! :) I've imported SH3's Leigh light mod and converted it to be used in SH5.

Version 1.0 applies to the following planes

- "stand in" Catalina - AS_USFloatEarlyWar
_ "stand in" Liberator - AS_USHeavyBomberMedWar

I guess the dev team was planning to make more accurate models instead of the stand-ins, but that's all we get for now. This mod was tested with both IRAI 0.0.39 and OHII 2.1. Since it's still version 1.0, bugs might show up, just let me know on this thread.

This mod is JSGME ready.

Yes you can install it after OHII 2.2 and IRAI_0_0_39_ByTheDarkWraith.
It's better to install it while in bunker.

Thanks for the info. The time-frame can be easily added on the next version.

UPDATED with version 1.1

I had to dig up this thread again to ask about spotting aircraft at night. My crew called out an aircraft at night in enemy waters that I did not see and I was not attacked. My question is do I need to adjust something so my crew won't call out superhuman visual aircraft contacts at night. The point is if my crew can spot aircraft in the the pitch black of night at long range what is the point of the allies having Leigh lights when they'll never get a chance to use them. My crew with NVG's would have prompted me to dive by then.

data\Cfg\Sensors.cfg => Visual light factor

valid range should be 0-1, and stock setting is 1 (i.e. maximum factor) :hmm2:

To decrease visual fog factor ingame, i had to increase value up to 1...:03:

In other words, 0 = full effect; 1 = no effect?

That is a bit odd if you look at the settings of different sensor factors. Factors which, going by common sense, should not affect a sensor are usually set to 0 (i.e. Visual noise factor, Radar light factor, Hydrophone fog factor, etc.) whereas the ones which should have the biggest effect are set to 1 (i.e. Visual light factor, Radar range factor, Sonar aspect, etc.). :hmmm:

Nonetheless we shouldn't forget that the word "odd" referred to SH5, is often a synonymous of "likely" :O:

You don't remember when i was trying to decrease my crew accuracy in fog?
Stock IRAI settings were 0.75, and my crew was able to see (hence to lock) a target while i couldn't see a damn thing...
I increased the value to 1, and now my crew see boats only when i can see them :yep:
I tried at first (logicaly) to decrease this value, but results were inverse :)
