TDW's UI ver 7.2.0 for SH5 Crash problem

Been having massive hard crash problems running ver 7.2.0 of this mod, no other mods installed, on a new installation of SH5.
Have tried on 2 other computers all with the same problem.
The crash happens on TORPEDO IMPACT, with SH5 not responding having to use ctrl-alt-del to exit.

Have used debug utility with last 3 lines reading as :
[2072] PDH: 1 destroyed contacts found. Checking for sunk ships...
[2256] SH_ServerOrbitProtocol.cpp (111): Failed to read packet from client.
[3572] ..\..\..\..\..\..\..\..\..\P4ws\massgate-MAIN\massgate\uplay_pc\2.1\live\shared\libs\servic es\src\services\GameKeeperImpl.cpp(261) : Product id '3' all processes terminated.

Just wondered if anybody else having this issue?

The specs are intel i7 920 @ 2.67GHz, 6.00GB RAM, ATI HD5800 series card, 64bit system, windows 7.

Hope somebody can help as this mod is badly needed.
Cheers,
Colin.

GAME OVER:har:

on a serious note, do you realise there is mods inside the main folder that you install one by one, please forgive me if you have done this and you realise there is mods inside the main folder I am trying to help
this might help if you haven't tried it

goto - Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features

look for - Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable 9.0.30729.4974

if you have it - delete it
the only other thing I can think of is a corrupt download

This is the only one solution to the described problem..
Visual C++ does not have any relation to this problem..
Corrupt download does not have any relation to this problem..
'mods inside the main folder' does not have any relation to this problem..
'v7.1.0 or v7.2.0' does not have any relation to this problem..

Hi :oops:it just came across as funny maybe it's just my sense of humour:yep:
on the other hand
I have just read the original threat, so what you are saying is he let go a torpedo on a German ship in game then the game crashed right that make sense.

Should leave my sense of humour out, and actually read what is onscreen:/\\!!

Thanks for your input Dem.

Have tried all the above but installing this game on 3 computers lets out a corrupt download also i did realize about the mods in main folder.

Just out of ideas at present having spent hours on this. May have to go back to SH4, shame really.

Cheers,
Colin.

Yep, updated with each instalation.
This problem is a real game crusher with some obscure answer somewhere.

There is only one reason for the hang of the game using NewUIs as he describe it:

We are not, but we cannot make a game bug into a feature... there should be other ways to punish trahitors, other than CTD's. Reward depletion, for example :03:

On a side note, I once thought that this was a stock game bug, but after reading various reports, it seems it could be related with TDW's UI :yep:

Hello acecol
I know that this is a bit late in coming but I would keep trying. These problems are usually worked out because of something really simple. If the game was running, and it crashes because of a torpedo hit, then it might not even be related to the UI.
I use the 7.2 UI with no problems (I'm not saying this to frustrate, I'm just pointing out that it does work). Setting this up was another matter. I had to make sure that my patches (TDW's) were the correct version. If you are using the patches (and you should be as one or two of the principal patchs relate specifically to torpedos), which version of the patches are you using?
When working with these, sometimes the main .exe file can get weird (Corrupt). Sometimes a full reinstall will take care of it.
When I have a reoccuring crash difficulty, I will usually reinstall the .exe and manually delete it. This kind of cleaning ussually works.
I wish you good luck on this. Keep trying, the game is worth it!
:salute:

Have tried with just 7.2.0 installed with relevant patches on clean version of SH5 & nothing works. Soon as a torpedo hits a ship bang we game crash.
If this was happening on 1 computer fair enough, But on 3 computers all with different specs!!!!!!!
