Can't get TheDarkWraith's Multiple UIs mod to work (Crash)
 
I have been trying all night, to get it to work without crashing, but whenever I make an explosion the game just freezes. I have a beast PC, hardware is definitely not the issue. I have tried launching the mod by itself, with other mods, I have re-installed the game numerous times...


Still nothing, after I torpedo a ship - freeze, after it has run out of HP! Without this mod, everything works, no crashes, but if it's activated the game will crash.


I have a legal copy, that I purchased off Steam.


I really want this mod to work, is there maybe, an alternative mod similar to this, because I really like the variety of tools and information, gives the game more realism and lets you really get to planing an attack, without it, the game is quite bland and boring.

I just downloaded it like 7 hours ago... Is there 7.2 already?


I also tried his mega-mod, same thing occurred.

I just tried same exact mods except for the UI mod, didn't crash

Install the other TDW mods as well and start a new career .

Oh, I googled it, found it. Thanks for the help. Will update on results.


Update : After installing all the mods in the correct order and starting new campaign, the game still freezes after a target ship has entered ''sunk'' mode..


Honestly, I am giving up on this mod, is there an alternative mod, that's similar to this? A mod that gives you more information and options, than default version.

Check the main menu for version number. Should be v1.2

Sure, but that's a bug then, because without the mod the game doesn't freeze, when blowing up allies.

Currently I have sunk 2 enemy merchant ships, no freezes have occurred, but SUNK, thanks to Better And Realistic Flotation mod (BRF HP balance) by Arclight, I recently activated. I had freezes when I was making the ships explode. This mod makes it impossible to have the big explosion, which is realistic, because rarely ships are that explosive, torpedoes are used to make a ship sink, not blow the ship sky high.

Are you sure that you sink enemy ships when game freezes?
Because using the NewUIs you cannot sink friendly ships..
sunk friendly = game freeze

I was sinking allied ships just when leaving Bremen port's submarine base.

So, wow, really? So then the UI mod has updated the ships, all but German, that when they run out of HP they sink, rather than explode? And if you happen to see a German ship getting destroyed then the game freezes? How is that?

Won't you ever see a German ship getting destroyed in the game?

You are not able to sink the friendly ships.. EDIT: and aircrafts too

I don't know, the second submarine base you get after Keil, I think it was in Bremen, just after exiting the base, there are many freight ships in front of you, which I used as test targets for probable crashes. Without the Mod there were no crashes after destroying the ships, but when I installed the UI mod the game froze, I tried many times, same result. But only on those ships.

What mods are you using, I find the Environmental mod good looking, but I find the buoyancy too weird, the ship surfaces with backside first, when moving, It was half-speed mode 5 knots, then It can't surface fully for quite a long time... well, it just looks ridiculous, not sure if it's realistic or not, but I think in realistic conditions more air pressure would be used to stabilize the boat, so that the engine doesn't have to choke on water, and other side effects don't occur, such as the boat going under-water again, after the jump out.

It's quite opposite looking to me really, the boat gets launched on surface too fast and then not enough pressure is given to keep it out.

Come on, once is enough... I was just testing everything that was in front of me for bugs and crashes, so that I don't have to experience later, when I play for real.
