http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/envoy/ge...153243610.html He also put out a video a couple of days ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p89OuPODBMM Again nowhere near the response that 'Kony 2012' got. |
*pictures George Clooney in handcuffs*
I'm sorry, what were we talking about? :O: This was all over the news here today (when they could take a break from talking about college basketball) because IIRC George's dad Nick was also involved and also arrested. George is still considered a local boy and Nick, of course, is just as well known here due to his time as a prominent local newsman. Among folks older than me they probably think of George as "Nick's boy, the actor" instead of tossing Nick's name in as "and oh his dad was there too." |

George? George? Oooohh Geor--wait a minute YOU'RE NOT GEORGE!! :stare: :O: |
When I start hearing about these people actually being charged and tried, then I will start caring. This is just a big publicity game to them.
How edgy and committed to their cause do you have go be to be arrested with the understanding you will be released after the interview with the press? |
I had to ask my little sister, what she would do, if she had fainted and George Clooney was the one who was giving her mouth-to-mouth
I would stay fainted forever (She's a big fan of George) @ Platapus, I don't think so. This is not one simpel attend, but one of many appearance, he has made. He have been talking to the Congress a.s.o about the problem in south Sudan. Markus |
[sarcastic]We should go there so they'll be killing us instead, problem solved.[/sarcastic] :salute: :yeah:
|
Is he going to protest outside the South Sudan embassy too?
After all if he is complaining about the atrocities, cattle fights and tribal war around south kordofan he should be blaming all the bastards involved. ....including Koni:03: |
George who?

But about that video: "For the first time since the stone age, people are living in caves". Uhm....no. I seem to recall that there are actually people in inland China that are so poor that they live in caves...there was some article about it during the 2008 Olympics... |

Funny thing is, a lot of people here probably think of Rosemary as Nick's sister. He's certainly not the most famous of the family overall, but he's the one who was/is the most prominent at the local level. To top it off he's nearly 80 and still out there trying to do stuff that matters. :salute: |
