This site said I couldn't download more than 10 files a day Unless I introduce myself in the november sign up thread and get promoted to captain.

Guess I will have to because I have read the ranking system to see if I can get to captain rank and the Subsim High Intensity Tallying ranking system won't allow me.

Shame I didn't read about the limit before I downloaded what I did. I would have been a little more picky.
Maybe a mod might take pity on my nubish ways and reset my limit just this once.
There would be no better way to welcome me to this community than a act of kindness that would ensure my loyalty for years to come.

I tried to download a skin, but it said I had exceeded my limit. Funny part is I had just tried to do it the one time.

This is because the downloads are tied to posts. You had never posted, hence you couldn't download. The more you post the more you can download. This is because hosting downloads costs money, and we want active members who take part in the forums, not just people who join so they can grab stuff.

Now that you've posted it should be sorted shortly.
