Here's the amazing thing about Texas barbecue.

Here's the amazing thing about Texas barbecue. Even a run-of-the-mill place around here is better than the best barbecue anywhere else.

Great article about the best BBQ. The writer visited KC, Memphis and Texas to sample some of the best BBQ around. (Texas starts on pg 3).

Great, as if I wasn't already hungry, now I'm salivating - curse you and your barbecue too!

mookiemookie 08-31-11 08:17 AM

Another Texas bbq story - people wait 90 minutes for a bbq brisket sandwich in Austin: http://www.seriouseats.com/2011/08/t...-tx-texas.html

I'm more of a bbq centrist anyways. I love good bbq, and I think Texas and Memphis and Kansas City and North Carolina, etc all bring their own special brand of love to the table. I love it all.

Jimbuna 08-31-11 08:58 AM

Well I don't claim to be a BBQ expert but I remember sitting at this table at Neals Ranch and partaking in the best one I've ever experienced :sunny:

I've a crackin photo of Neals Mom and Dad relaxing after there efforts but wouldn't post it without his consent.

Holy crap is this true! I almost scolded Nana for forgetting to make it once!

(from the article) "Texas barbecue is like Texas itself: brash, arrogant, and beefy." ahahahaha.
