Help with Merchant Fleet mod
Ok so i downloaded it and i understand how to install it. I just got a few questions since you guys already got it installed maybe you could help me.
Firstly the neutral ship skins for 1940 theres no date on them so i dont know which date in SHcommander date folder im supposed to putem in? Secondly the CFG name list i got in the forum as below where do i put that? You have to copy and paste the list into the Englishnames.cfg in the C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Sea folder
I don't know about the neutral skins since I run only a fraction of the MFM and it doesn't contain the neutrals. You might also want to know that the MFM takes a lot of memory recourses to run. Good luck. |

after i installed the mod i got something from the protection program saying the SH3.exe was corrupted or something does that have something to do with the mod if not how do i disable the protection system anyidea?

well it crashed even after a fresh install with that mod and it worked fine with all my other mods active. I dunno whats causing the crash, i just know the in the details part its a sh3.exe crash meaning the game crashed. Im gonna read thru the whole thread all 65 pages lol and see if im doing something wrong. I didnt cpy and pste the list cause iambecomelife said it was un-necessary. My system should run it fine, i got enuff mem. I enabled it thru JSGME and put the skins in the dates folder of commander, dunno why it crashed.

ok so i got it to load in musuem but, it took forever to load. It loads fast then right before it completes load like a half and inch on the red bar it looks like it freezes. I cntrl-alt-deleted it a few times cause i thought it froze but when i did it for the museum i was reading something and i left it at the same load. After 15 mins it loaded the musuem. Im assuming that after the 4 gb patch perhaps thats what its gonna take to load it. I havent tested it yet but im gonna give it a swing now before i head to sleep. Im also gonna try and load sh3 twice to improve its function. Lets ya know how it turns out.

i got 329 ships of those 7 are icebergs as of right now with the MFM added and q-ship.

this mod has given me such a hardtime :nope: im seriously thinking of dropping down a elevator shaft hard drive and all.

well after 14 hours and multiple installs i finally got it to run. Its a miracle but is it stable? I dont think so, upon entering campaign its slow like molases. Gotta wait an additional few minutes for the game to "catch up". So i reloaded it twice to confirm it will run and it did. Now im busy attaching names to the ships for Commander. ohh and i still didnt even try it with stnaz,wil,ships. I know thats gonna be fun.

does anyone have the most recent version link for the merchant fleet mod lite. I wanna try that and see if it makes a difference.

Instead of trying to load the whole of the MFM , even the lite version, try to add ships manually one by one.
In that way you will be able to play the game with some ships of the MFM without CTDs. This procedure has worked fine with my PC. If you have the GWX then disable the merged campaign option to save up mamory space. |
