  • Anarchists occupied Trafalgar Square late into the night, some throwing missiles
  • After a night of smashing banks and hotels–and attacking police–over 200 hooligans arrested
  • 84 reported injuries. 31 police officers hurt, 11 requiring hospital treatment
  • Massive clean up effort underway

A night of mayhem descended on the streets of London yesterday, after hundreds of anarchists and anti-capitalists stormed the streets, overtaking Trafalgar square. Some of the protesters even threw missiles from the square. Wow, Ho my, Gosh socialism at it's best.

There are no indications to the contrary, much more I can not say, because of national security aspects.

I have my own rss feeds tbh, so apart from the occasional novelty news item, I have to skim-read GT titles to avoid covering the same ground twice, which is damn annoying sometimes.

It happens on some other forums I'm a member of... in some places repeated RSSing news without commenting or providing an opinion for discussion is worthy of the ban-hammer.
Not saying this should happen here, but it's definitely spam of a sort imo. Is it better or worse than some of the political threads that have been on here in the past? In it's favour, it's certainly less divisive, if nothing else.

We all have different ways to get news, and what you describe, or locate what is relevant, which is a matter of taste and interest, :yep:
