Might be a good time to check through your hard drive incase there's anything else you've forgotten........!!!! ;) Many thanks for this Sober. Just downloaded it and will check it out ASAP. |

Just tested it and it looks great. Bow spray in general looks much better (always thought the amount of spray in the vanilla game was too sparse).
Combined with your wave mechanics (V15) it looks awesome!! No FPS drop at all even on my below spec 7900GTX 512MB. I do however use the Antilag mod and have fixed my FPS at approx 32. Thanks again Sober. This mod is definitely a keeper!! :DL |
Jep, looks good , and works fine.....
Activate on Patrol in Campaign without errors....:yeah: |
Thanks! I have to say that I think the effect is a bit too powerful. I tested it on a calm sea (wind 0) and was going just 7 knots or less, and water splashes from the deck gun, even if it stays well above the sea level. I think this would be great on a stormy sea when you go dead ahead but now it seemed too rough for me.

In general is great improvement and looks great. I posted a heavy visual feedback in the screenshot section just to not spam your topic with images. Link here.
Tested the mod in a heavy fog and stormy condition with a c41. Bearing 45 with wind from 326, the splash direction is good. But sometimes the splash occur before the wave hit. Also the splash is getting through the con tower, not sure if this is possible to fix, game bug maybe? There is a constant splash on the side of the sub, in the deck gun area that occur no matter if the sub is hit by waves or not. In still images everything looks just great, but when animated it looks like smoke. Made a comparison between your splash vs stock by adding some older pics with a B con tower. Maybe the conning tower matters on the size of the splash... |

Nice work

Sober, V2 is much better. Actually is... brilliant! Is really hard to show it with images, this need to be filmed. Got wet to bones to make this test, but was an amazing ride.. I really had the feeling that Im there. Just watch this frame by frame shot where you can see how the base of the tower is hit by the wave then blown away by the wind... just fantastic!

I don't know if this would be possible, but could the spray coming over the conning tower be linked in some way to the water drops that appear occassionally on the screen?
I had the two effects happen to coincide a couple of times and the overall effect was incredibly immersive...... Really like actually being there. Sorry if this is a stupid idea...... when it comes to modding I have no idea what is and isn't feasible. |
If installed over MO, what changes are being overwritten? Is this a modified MO file, or a modified vanilla SH5 file? Description says not compatible with mega mod, enable after?
Im sure ill figure it out. Awesome looking mod BTW! |
