Batman Arkham City
Don't think this has been discussed yet, 'search' agrees with me...
For anyone that enjoyed playing it's prequel: Batman Arkham Asylum, this is going to be a awesome game. Batman: Arkham City builds upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, sending players soaring into Arkham City, the new maximum security “home” for all of Gotham City’s thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds. Set inside the heavily fortified walls of a sprawling district in the heart of Gotham City. Expected to be released in Q3 2011. Batman: Arkham City PREDICTED System Requirements* Intel Processor - Core 2 Extreme X7900 2.8GHz AMD Processor - Athlon II X2 240 Nvidia Graphics Card - GeForce GTS 250 ATI Graphics Card - Radeon HD 5670 512MB RAM (Memory) - 4 GB Hard Disk Space - 10 GB Direct X - 9 TEASER TRAILER The game will have a multi-player feature as well. Three voice actors have been confirmed to reprise their roles from Batman: Arkham Asylum. Batman will be portrayed again by Kevin Conroy, and the Joker by Mark Hamill. Hamill has confirmed this will be the final time he voices the Joker. Two-Face, Mr Freeze and Catwoman will also be ingame. There is a rumour, pretty strong, that the player may be able to control Catwoman, but this has not been confirmed yet. The game world in Arkham City will be 5 times larger than in Arkham Asylum. The number of animations have also been doubled. One thing that i loved about the first game was the incredible effects used ingame and also in cut-scenes. Unbelievably realistic. The sequel looks just as amazing. This will be a absolute must for me when it hits shelves! |

I really enjoyed Batman Arkham Asylum as well and very anxiously awaiting the sequel.
Batman is definitely, my favorite Super Hero. |
Been looking forward to this game since it was announced. AA rocked my world and I still play it despite knowing the storyline, and having finished it at least 6 times.

Enjoyed Arkham Asylum as well, looking forward to seeing more of this. :yep:

You know what I want. I want an open world sandbox of arkham city a la GTA, I want vehicles (bat mobile, plane, boat, etc), and the game play of the first game.

Aparently not for PC though. But maybe they just didn't anounce it yet. |
Least its not a plastic Batarang this time. I wont be getting the collectors edition. So long as the DLC is free like it was with AA, I'm a happy man.

My local gamestop was having a midnight release which I was going to sleep through, but my friend kept calling me because his local gamestop was having trivia questions and he needed my help. So After Being woken up I decided why not go to mine. Ended up getting a shirt, a poster, and a card to download part of the soundtrack for free, plus I now have my collectors edition. :yeah:
If anyone wants the soundtrack card I'll give away the code, I don't need it as the collectors edition comes with a sountrack already. I'm currently in the processes of downloading all the skins/etc. That I got for pre-ordering and buying the collectors edition, but soon I will be the Dark Knight. :D Edit: I'll also be giving away a free code to stream the movie, as my copy also comes with the movie. |
Batman: Arkham City Arrives 18th November
On PC that is, in the UK (all of Europe at that I suppose). Comes with fancy DX11 trickery. Little torn on it... no doubt I'll be completely consumed by Skyrim at that point. Guess I'll pick it up at Christmas or something, maybe just hold out for the inevitable GOTY/Complete edition... with all the flaky DLC and retailer-exclusives going on that might actually be the most interesting version to pick up anyway. :hmmm: |
