Grammys: Insane '70s & '80s Photos
Oh, Grammys, how we do love thee. Though we may not always agree with your ultimate choices of honorees in the world of music, we are drawn year after year to your celebration of sound, your naked appeals to carnality, and your occasional glimpses at raw creativity. And, oh yeah, the kind of plumage that would leave Marlin Perkins speechless. After all, who doesn't love '80s pop queen Cyndi Lauper...

[edit] Sorry, I listened to the clips and wasn't impressed. If you want to hear a real blues woman, listen to Joanna Connor or Ana Popovic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKKZu...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JytwI...eature=related |

She introduced her new album on the Celebrity Apprentice last year. She sang one or two songs from it if I remember correctly.
Steve just has issues with 'the next generation' :O: Cindy was great in doing her own thing. This is what made her unique. |

Another nice thing about the blues is that they like the music more than their egos. I'd bet any of those old gents would have been happy to jam with the likes of Cyndi Lauper, not to mention Charlie Musslewhite and Johnny Lang, both of which are also on her new album. |
