Great news for James Bond fans - November 2012!

I'm a huge James Bond fan - I own every movie, seen them all, love everything James Bond. MGM's bankruptcy scared me. I thought it would be a long long time until we saw the next Bond movie. I knew that the franchise wouldn't die out completely...there's a lot of money to be made there, but still.

Today I see that Daniel Craig is going to be back next year! Woo hoo!

:woot::rock:

I think this calls for a gratuitous Speedo pic.

Craig's the only Bond who makes me not care that Bond isn't Sean Connery any more.

Look on the bright side, the new movie just has to be better than Quantum.

Hmm, hard to say, Daniel Craig is in it again :haha:
Edit: different directors, maybe :hmmm:

Seeing as it was one of the weakest Bond movies, I'd certainly hope it was.

The counsel for the defense would like to offer a rebuttal:

Quantum of Solace is not bad
In my opinion Diamonds are forever was the worst

DarkFish 01-12-11 10:57 PM

Quantum isn't really good, but at the very least Bond doesn't have superweapons like he had in Die Another Day. James bond films are always highly improbable to say the least, but DAD is plainly impossible.

The Prosecution moves to table documents, which are damming, to say the least! :O:

I'd say that Moonraker was probably the worst Bond film that I have ever seen.

Herr-Berbunch 01-13-11 08:41 AM

Listen, why do I keep having to see DC budgie-smuggling? Bond is so much more...

Moonraker, I agree that it will not on my top ten, but Diamonds Are Forever is in itself in not bad, except for certain scenes

mookiemookie 01-13-11 09:35 AM

Worst ones in my opinion were Moonraker (space - really?!), Quantum of Solace (disjointed and boring story, not a compelling villain,) , Die Another Day (Brosnan's Magnum Crapus), Diamonds are Forever (pure cornball) and Octopussy (a clown suit! I hated how they tried to shoehorn crappy comedy into the Moore films)

You are a fan though? Of ermm, Bond. James Bond? Some of the movies?
Since you are the O.P. :O:

Come on guys, they're just films, fictional films. Just enjoy them for what they are - sure this one will go along the lines of all previous films -

Bond in some predicament, escapes, visits M, flirts with Moneypenny, annoys Q, travels world, kills some people, sneaks in somewhere with some pretty girl who he shouldn't really be with, kills some more people (with new gadget), saves her, she saves him, kill some more people whilst escaping/chasing someone, back to M, told off, does it again, insuniation of shagging girl, end theme, Bond will return in...

If you don't like them, don't watch them, but they are just for entertainment, not factual tours of baddies lairs or invisible cars. :D

No, they're not factual and they are formulaic, but some of them are still better than others. I think you have to go all the way back to Goldeneye (Sean Bean FTW) to find the last Bond film that really measured up.

The ones I like best are the ones that stick closest to the original books. So Connery's first four and Craig's first are my favorites. The rest?
