Come on... seriously...? What give in the US? Have you guys gone all bananas? :har: Too many rotten eggs in the south me thinks. :nope:

Man I grew up with these eggs I never herd of someone choking on the plastic egg within the chocolate egg? We all knew there is toys in them.. :03:

With crazy stuff like this, this is why I don't go to the US.. I'm sure they would find something on me to complain about.. or bill or jail.. Just nuts down there.:o:down:

Ya kidding? My 8, 5 and 3 year olds love Kinder Surprise. They seem to have no problems with them.

Matador.es 01-12-11 02:50 AM

Was it not the writer of the American Narional Anthem who died chocking on pits of fruit? Maybe they try to take counter measures...:har:

Betonov 01-12-11 05:06 AM

A small child could choke on the toy inside, but there was a measure developed to prevent that from happening, a little thing called: A PARENT

Penguin 01-12-11 05:26 AM

In the european edition there is always a slip included which states in about 937 languages: "not suitable for minors under 3 because they might swallow the small parts."

So I guess here we think that 3yr olds are mature enough to handle them.

TarJak 01-12-11 07:24 AM

I want to know where the US government is keeping it's secret stash of 25,000 Kinder eggs.:hmmm: I suspect they may be trying to cause a global shortage to drive the price up or something. I smell a conspiracy! Where's me tinfoil hat?

mookiemookie 01-12-11 08:00 AM

They're banned here because the egg man freak in this commercial is nightmare fuel. I can imagine some Washington-type seeing this, his eyes widen, he shakes his jowls and says "N-n-no! We can't have *that!*" : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOFRI...layer_embedded

Tchocky 01-12-11 08:18 AM

I read *somewhere* that Kinder eggs are one of the most commonly seized items by US Border Patrol.

Whatever, americans prefer brownies and doughnuts.
Keep the Kinder eggs out of the US. :haha:

Silly,

In the U.S. it is boasted we have freedoms and 'rights' unlike any other country in the world. Yet for some odd reason as a country have more laws on the books than any other country in the world. Why is this one might ask? We've been trained well, if there is even a hint or a perception something is wrong. The people immediately demand the government of the people for the people fix it. We invite this into every aspect of our lives every time then get pissed off when elected officials do what is demanded of them! Go figure.

Just an observation nothing more.

Growler 01-12-11 10:48 AM

Funny; my wife's friend in Germany sends the kids Kinder Eggs all the time, and they get here to the People's Republic of Maryland just fine.

Penguin 01-12-11 11:03 AM

Shhhhh!
Don't ask, don't tell!

*hears a knocking on Growler's door*
"Open up, you're surrounded! We know you have the contraband at home!"

(We also send sometimes CARE-packages with Kinder eggs to our american family branch) :arrgh!:

Rockstar 01-12-11 11:25 AM

Keep it up and the people will demand the government stop this! Why? Well if they can't stop Kinder eggs from entering just think whats getting through that we don't know of, oh the horror.

New political platforms and taxes will have to increase to support a new agency established to stop this blatant lawlessness before it gets out of control. Growler and Penguin you two just made the international most wanted list. Prepare to be brought to justice, this is an obvious sign you have know idea whats good for you. We the people have spoken, just don't mention the Kinder Eggs you sent me yesterday and I might be able to put in a good word for you to reduce your sentence.
