California sucks!
 

I decided to start my own thread for the sole purpose of complaining about my home state whenever the urge should occur.

In this episode of California sucks:

California On America (wow, thats the future of this state your seeing there!)

California crisis causes traffic tickets to increase and court costs
You know, a fix-it ticket used to cost 25 bucks. That was over 5 years ago. I think the same ticket now runs you well over a 100 bucks.

In our next episode of California sucks, I'll examine traffic and/or overcrowding issues!

PS. I was born and raised here. All my family is here, and yet, leaving this hell hole to live in any other state but here, will be a dream come true.

I grew up in a sh!thole. I got out as soon as I was 18, and never went back. I don't regret leaving, but I've not yet found a place where I feel I belong. As the saying goes, "You can take the man out of [place name]..."

Only thing is, those plans could come into fruition as early as the end january, or as late as may or june. Time (and layoffs) will tell.

Which state are you heading to?

It really is a shame about California.

It is a beautiful place. Some of the best flying i have ever done in my life has been into and out of California. From San Fran to San Diego and most points in between - socal is a beauty.

but the whole place is terribly mismanaged and is a haven for special interest agendas.

I feel your pain Duc. I live in ore-gone, and whatever kali-fornia does, ore-gone must do too.:nope: I call OR the West Virginia of the West.

I thought most of CA moved to UT anyway?:hmmm:

I grew up in Southern California and am glad I was able to leave. I understand that other parts of CA are pretty nice, but I really can't recommend Southern California.

Ore-gone is run by the public unions. 1 in 6 works for the state and draws a state pension. The state was funded by the timber industry, the greenies have wiped out the timber industry in this state. AND ore-gone uses up the vast majority of the national timber fund. (timber welfare: feds paying not to cut down trees.) The re-tread guv has made crystal clear, ore-gone will be at the head of the line with it's hand out looking for money.

I've been to San Fran, it was nice except for all of the pan handlers, which the city will do nothing about. And the sales tax there! @#$%@%$ crickey!

Yup. Truthfully, thats where my Fiance is from. Most of her family is there, and neither one of us wants to raise a family in CA. So that sort of narrows down the where and why, doesn't it. :D (edit: and no i'm not mormon, so this will be interesting. lol )

I've been to a lot of places in the US, but I don't think I've ever been there...
Edit: Oh, it's Utah? Nope, never been there. Ummm... that's a nice looking hill though. Blue sky. Okay, I got nothing.

I know they've driven up housing prices there. (note, I was using the steamwake speller checkerz)

I had a co-worker that wanted to move to TX, so I looked over her shoulder:D, at housing prices there, and holy crap, what I could afford there, I'd live like a @#$%@%$ king!:shucks: Most entry level houses are >220k here:o And they gang rape you with property taxes here!:stare:

Nothing wrong with provo. It is a great place for a family though. But if you like to party, you're moving to the wrong place. What brings you to provo?

oh, and look out for the traffic from UT valley to SL valley.:o
