Should the forum be renamed?

I think the name of a place on the outside, ought to reflect what goes on inside. Truth in advertisement, ya know? Since this hasn't been the case as of late, i thought perhaps the forum should undergo a name change. :O:

Gerald 11-04-10 05:43 PM

Ducimus! What would you suggest that have appeared since time immemorial, :timeout:

Raptor1 11-04-10 05:44 PM

"Subsim's Politics and Stuff Massacre Extravaganza, Enter at Own Risk"?

Tchocky 11-04-10 05:53 PM

After the last few days, let's just name it "Boobs & Beats" and be done with it :woot:

I voted Angry Ole Goats Who Stare at Polls. I also fully admit to being responsible for some of that angry discussion.

In seriousness, the political rancor tends to be seasonal. With the US election cycle over for time being, the number of political topics should decline in the coming days.

There is a current anomaly in that trend, I think you know what I mean. :yep:

Yes I do. :haha:

In the case of said anomaly, we are in the driver's seat. A topic that no one responds to sinks very quickly on this board. I must be especially disciplined in that regard, as I am a frequent target.

Castout 11-04-10 07:56 PM

No useless pointless polls? :O:

Ducimus 11-04-10 08:13 PM

Well, there was a point in this poll, but i (mistakenly?) figured, people would get the veiled "hint" behind it. :O:

edit:
BTW, i voted for all of the above. I thought, "Dumbo's whinery" and Eeyoree's cryier" were some nice touch's though. (and yeah, im just as guilty as the usual suspects for responding to "poll tick" threads at all.

Perhaps we should have a public resolution not to feed the trolls?

If we don't respond, the troll thread quickly goes to page 2 to be forgotten. :know:

We have the technology, we have the power, do we have the resolve? :har:

frau kaleun 11-04-10 08:18 PM

"E-Peen On Parade" has a nice ring to it.

Can't see your post what r u saying? :O:

Where is the ignore button can't find it

Ducimus 11-04-10 08:40 PM

Think i have about 4 people on ignore. Amazingly enough, thirdman isn't on that list yet. I may have to remedy that. :haha:

Go to the user profile of the person you want to ignore. Once there, there is a user list drop-down box beneath the name. Select 'Add to Ignore List'. This will work for everyone except for moderators and Neal, as they cannot be placed on ignore lists for obvious reasons.

Platapus, I think that is a fine idea. I have been a poor example.

Platapus 11-04-10 09:02 PM

Can the Ignore button be programmed to be an Opt-In instead of an Opt-Out?

Then I can automatically put everyone on Ignore other than the select people I want to see.

:haha::har::har::har::har:

BTW, has Oprah endorsed one of the poll options yet? I can't vote until I know.

Official press release from Harpo Studios:

Oprah is very disappoint that there is no option on the poll for "Everyone, look under your seats. You're all going to Veee-gaaas!"
