We're the only ones who could beat the Aussies but then again we'd never invade them either.

I think you got the movie backwards... it takes place in New Zealand... AUSTRALIA is the one invading! :haha:

That is absolutely hilarious! :rotfl2:

Looks interesting. The books have great reviews over at amazon so I know whats next on my reading list.

I'm off to see this on Saturday night, can't wait. Since I first read the books about 15 years ago I longed for it to be made into a flick, and now it has :)

bookworm_020 08-30-10 07:09 PM

I've always wanted Taronga by Victor Kelleher to be turned into a film.

My kids want to go see it as well. I've not read the books but my daughter reckons they are great. I was just interested in the similarities between it and Red Dawn which was the first thing that struck me when I saw the ad last night on telly.

Or is it the bushcheneyhaliburtonpalinrumsfeld warmonger machine?

It couldn't be obamaland invading the Aussies, as the bombers would have been dumping money and gubmint cheese.

Put another shrimp on the barbe TarJak. :DL

I'm on my way to help my Aussie friends.

From what little I know about the books the invaders are never clearly identified, however they presumably come from somewhere north of Australia.:hmmm: Who could the author mean?

We don't have shrimps over here but I'll stick a prawn in the pot for you so it's hot when you arrive.

You have to be careful and not let them grow too big or they try to mate with buildings:
