How many Racing sims do you all have ? Please Exclude Need for Speed and simulsr types.

What titles ? And what brand of steering wheels do you have ?

I have many racing simulators. been a racing sim fan for along time... since Microprose Formula One grandprix (1992) on the Amiga.

Here are a few of my favorite racing sim games :-

Grand Prix 4
GTR2 (my favourite)
GP Legends

Was using a gamepad to play.... not easy. But i just talked my wife into letting me spend NZ$600 on a Logitech G27. :yeah:
And now i'm looking at taking up iracing. Just gotta talk the wife into letting me spend more $.:yep:

Upcoming racing sims that are looking good.

Formula One 2010 from codemasters (released sept this year)
GTR3 (released 2011)
Rfactor 2

GTR2
GT Legends
Race 07
GTR Evolution
STCC: The Game
rFactor

Steering wheel: Logitech G25

Most of the time I play rFactor, lots of mods to choose from. :)

"Richard Burns Rally" on the PS2

Oberon 06-12-10 09:12 AM

In before Admiral8Q posts Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! :03:

Richard Burns Rally
rFactor
GTR
GTR2
GT Legends
Race 07
GTR Evolution
STCC: The Game
iRacing

I use the Logitech G27, and most of the time I race iRacing. Its expensive with its subscription stuff but also the best by some margin.

ajrimmer42 06-12-10 01:24 PM

Richard Burns
GTR Evo
GT Legends
Colin McRae 2.0
GT5

I've got 2 wheels for PlayStation, but I've never really used them, I always use my PS3 SIXAXIS on PC :D

FIREWALL 06-13-10 01:56 PM

Thx Guys  I have Logitech G25 also.

Games wise.
Race 07
GP Ledgends
rFactor
Ford Racing 3
GTR2
GT Ledgends
F1 2000
F1 2002
Indy Series

And just bought Race on.

I had to give up on race sims. My knees are terrible, after about 30 minutes or so, my knees ache to the point that I cant stand it.

I miss playing GTR2, GT legend Power & Glory mod. :wah:

Is that caused by the way your pedals sit ?

I used to get that in flight sims until I got logitech G940 flight controllers.

Pedals are set WIDER apart. That eliminated the leg pains.

Captain Vlad 06-13-10 05:00 PM

Race 07 and expansions (Race On, GTR: Evo, STCC, etc)
GTR2
GT Legends

Now that I have non-sat high speed, been racing over at Race Department.com about twice a week.

I'm getting back into Racing. No new flight sims since RoF and SH5 speaks for itself.

I guess I want to do something different for awhile.

MuttelKiln 06-14-10 12:32 AM

I love to play these type of games as they are very interesting and lot of tactics are used to defeat your enemy which enhances your skills.

You should try iRacing, its the best looking racing sim as well as having the best physics.

No, you cant race offline. You can practice as much as you want outside the official servers, but the game is launched from their website. Its expensive as hell, but also way better than the other titles so I guess you have to decide if its worth it. I sure think so.
