You Park Like An Idiot

I like to practice my own form of vigilantism - not with bullets, but with pixels. Few things irritate more than people who park diagonally across multiple parking spaces, park illegally in handicapped spots, park down the line, park in access zones, and so on.

So enjoy these picture I've taken of people in my neighborhood parking like douchebags.

I hate it when people do that.:yep:

Ducimus 05-21-10 08:58 PM

There's a whole site dedicated to this.

http://www.youparklikean*******.com/
(word filter: youparklikeanass****.com, where as " **** " = hole )

Unfortuantely the picture gallery is coming up with SQL errors (at least on my machine), so that kinda kills the fun.

I hate it when people straddle between two parking stalls. They do it on purpose because they think their special. When i had a beater car, if they leave *JUST* enough room, i'd park right next to them and block their driver side door to where they can't open it.

frau kaleun 05-21-10 10:37 PM

We had a guy in our building who used to do that. He'd park his precious whatever-it-was (not an expensive, new, or especially "cool" car, either) so it was straddling two parking spaces... not only that, but he'd take two spaces right in front of the entrance (and thus closest to the door).

So I got in the habit of pulling in and parking right up next to him anyway, as though I didn't realize that I was also straddling two spaces as a result. Just parking in what looked like the next spot, doncha know. Then somebody else would do the same thing to him on the other side.

I used to love to look out my front window and see that.

BTW I was told by a relative who used to work for the building's manager that the same dude once called 911 because a utility truck went in and out of our lot on a wet day and splashed mud on his car as it passed.

I wish they were doing this here too. I hate it to see an athletic guy jumping out of his BMW, Mercedes, Porsche etc. which he had just parked on a handicapped spot.:nope:

You'd have a field day around here Subnuts...that much is certain. :nope: I've seen some corkers every summer when the tourists descend. Not that some of the more elderly residents are that much better, one of them decided to park her car in a shop quite a few years back now. :dead:

I also hate when people park like douches just so they don't have to walk an extra five feet. I work at a gas station that is actually it's own exit off a major highway(you can only get to it and leave it through the Highway in question), and we have people park in places they shouldn't all the time.

The other thing that really bugs me is during rush hour traffic, we have people speed through our gas station to bypass the traffic. I love watching our local FHP officers sit there and pull everyone that does it over.

Oh! I have a story!
Last night some friends and I were hanging out at the local massive strip mall/IMAX place near us. We went to Taco Bell(my 1st time) and I parked 1 space away from the nearest car.(Something I always do) When we left Taco Bell like 20mins later some as*hole parked less then 3inches from me!(I know this because I went to Home Depot earlier and had measuring tape in the car. Well one of my friends had to climb on to my hood and in through the sunroof, i have an SUV so i did not care. But my other friend refused too. He wanted to confront the guy.

So we wait like 10 mins, and this guy ~18 comes out and he is dressed like one of those rappers but he is white :nope: what is wrong with todays youth*? Anyway he sees us waiting and notices my door touching his car. So he starting cursing and pretending to be "gangster" my friend and him get into a verbal fight which ending with me yelling at my friend to enter my car. As we pull away, he says "yea thats right, run away you crackers"

Now I am thinking, I drive a close to 3 ton SUV, and he is in this beat up POS old small Honda. I could drive over his car! But what ever, I stopped and thought about it, and drove off.

But what nerve, what is wrong with these people.

*I say this, and I am only 18, I am just more mature I guess

krashkart 05-22-10 07:25 PM

Heh. A white dude called you a cracker, huh? Identity crisis. Whatever, anyway glad the idiot didn't try to be real OG and cap you or anything. Sounds like he's a complete blowhard. :salute:

Yea, the fact that he called my this, was the saddest part of my day. I am scared for our race and for humanity

Sledgehammer427 05-22-10 07:38 PM

(we call them wiggers here:shucks:)
And my friends and I are not afraid to fight them. In high school we studied them and they never full-on bothered us, but we know from their fighting style that against any one of our friends (I am in possession of a USMC hand to hand combat training manual and my father was a bouncer, we have weekly get-togethers to discuss tactics and new styles) they would need a trip to the hospital. We are essentially a gang ourselves, but we never do anything that gives the police reason to bother us. because we are smart and we dont do anything illegal to begin with. I've heard that I scare them. buahaha

back to the OT, people here tend to be a better cut than the people out where everyone else lives. The closest I've seen is someone taking up a pair of spots in the very VERY far back of the parking lot at a restaurant because they have a really nice car. Nobody parks back there anyways and I respect their choice, but even THAT happens rarely.

The worst parking people by FAR are those who come to service stations/repair shops.

You can have a parking lot FULL of cars, people double parking all over the place and they will STILL pull right up to a just emptied bay and try to drive in.

Even better are those who park right in front of an just emptied bay, get out taking the keys WITH them and go inside. When you ask for the keys so you can move it they offer them to you asking if you are pulling them in right now, otherwise they prefer to hang on to their keys. They do this right in front of people who have been waiting for THEIR cars to be brought into the shop.

THAT is arrogance and bad parking all rolled into one.
