It looks like a cross between a cnidarain and a mollusk, but I'm witholding judgement until someone with more knowledge of zoology can make an educated guess.

Why all this rubbish about a snail ? And it does not "explode", it just spits water out in utter despair as a defence, it is only that a big splash lands on the camera lens lol. Maybe there also was some calcite arrows in the fluid to attack. Where do you guys go to school ? :88)
