sonar torpedoes

Hello all:salute:.
How can I put sonar torpedoes in IXB 1944 in multiplayer???:06:

Patboot 03-29-10 10:48 AM

I don't think you can, as far as I know they are only in the Typ- VII boats in Multi.
I might be wrong, I often am.

As far as I know these torpedoes are carried by XXI in its cargo and by IXB in tube 5 I think. Why you don't just unload the torpedo to put it in stock and then put another in its place. Then you will have unlimited sonar guided torpedoes.:yeah::salute: And see you on our boat admiral Chris.:salute:

But why would someone do that????

Standart torpedoes are fine

For the pure entertainment of unleashing a volley of guided torpedoes into the side of a convoy, of course. :)

Yes I know that I drive a XXI. But If you have an IXB then you surface an kill the targets with the deck gun.

And sonar torpedoes are really sloooooooooooooooooooooow.:cry::cry::cry:

And really dangerous to your pack-mates, if you're in MP.

Yes once I trhew a torp to an enemy escort who was after my mate. Then he stopped the engines and the torp went right onto my friend who was at flank speed.:D:D:D

Aye, seen it done and been guilty of doing it myself on more than one occasion :03:

And once the sonar torpedo didn't work properly. I launched it to a convoy and it was confused it started to run in circles.

convoy hunter 04-11-10 02:11 PM

Why sonar torpedoes are useless from great distance??

convoy hunter 04-11-10 02:12 PM

I mean when they reach 1000 meters then they just are like normal torpedoes.

convoy hunter 04-11-10 02:24 PM

And they usually miss

Jimbuna 04-11-10 02:53 PM

That could be because the speed of the target is not fast enough....check the working paramaters of the torpedo, one version requires the minimum speed of the target to be 12 knots.

convoy hunter 04-12-10 07:37 AM

I usually attack convoys who are at 5kts speed. And the majority of these torpedoes works fine

If it's something like the Falke then it must be luckily pointing in the right direction after it becomes armed (400 metres).
