[REL] Old Style Explosions
 

Hi guys!

Since many of us don´t wanna have the ugly unrealistic firework explosions and
some other of the hollywood effect show I made myself on work.

This mod changes the following things:

-no more firework explosions
-no violette lensflare anymore
-added realistic explosions sounds
-improved smoke textures

Those stock explosions were the equivalnt to the fake richotte sounds in western movies, out of place and happened way to often.:nope:

I just made a video... but do not expect too much!
This is no complete new explosion.. just deleted the fireworks, swapped sounds and tweaked smoke a bit.

Video will come in a few minutes!

A little request, is it possible to see in addition a bigger seawater explosion?

But you know that the "firework type" explosion is only for ammunition freighters?
IMHO it's quite suitable.

Yeah, I know. For these it is quite suitable but the default loadout type for merchants is ammunition and in this way the firework explosions would be for almost every ship.

How do I use this file? When I unzip it, I dont see any main file root or files within it?
