Ubisoft anounces compensation

According to the german magazin "Gamestar" Ubisoft will grant compensation due to the server problems last weekend.
They will offer free download content in the near future.

I guess, they will just claim the next patch to be compensatory.

It will be interesting to see what Ubi thinks can redeem it's recent performance...

mookiemookie 03-12-10 12:19 PM

Thanks for the update. I too wonder what kind of bone they'll throw us. Extra sub emblems or something trivial like that ain't gonna cut it.

Rockin Robbins 03-12-10 12:22 PM

:har::har::har::har::har::har:

The cake is a lie!!!

Sgtmonkeynads 03-12-10 12:25 PM

Pffftttt.....What do you think they will give us ?
It'd be nice if it were a non-d thing, but I bet it's the type B none of us are able to get.

BigBANGtheory 03-12-10 12:28 PM

Actually that is very interesting as it demonstrates a level of customer care (not to be sneezed at). :yep:

Proof will be in the pudding.
(to carry on the cake pun hehe)

SteamWake 03-12-10 12:28 PM

There gonna give us all 'special soup' to improve our moral :haha:

Jimbuna 03-12-10 12:35 PM

Don't go purchasing anything based on the strength of what you think the value might be :DL

Officerpuppy 03-12-10 12:39 PM

Free content? That's a bit odd, does that mean there is/was/ or will be paid content?:hmmm:

"1944 campaign-----$10"
"U-Flack-------------$5"
"New uniforms-------$5"
"New airplanes-----Free because of what happened last week"

EgoApocalypse 03-12-10 12:39 PM

FFS.....If its true thats admittence that the game is FUBAR.

Better be a nice free downloady thingy or I might I have to have a healthy glass of wine.:O:

Mud 03-12-10 12:40 PM

My guess is new single missions (you know, the one's EVERYONE can do).

AVGWarhawk 03-12-10 12:42 PM

Free content! Bring on the dancing girls!

GDFTigerTank 03-12-10 12:44 PM

Excellent - we're getting a downloadable "Ubisoft" emblem for the sides of our conning towers!!! :yeah:
And the "pirate" with the eye patch is getting a downloadable pirate hat!!! :arrgh!:

AWESOME!

I feel all better. All those problems with your DRM are a thing of the past, completely irrelevant with this amazing gift! :woot:

In fact... Ubisoft, will you please have my babies because I've always wanted to be a father and y-

*THWACK!*

Whoa... :o
My sarcasm regulator obviously needs to be replaced... sorry about that. Let me go take care of that, I'll be right back!

BlackSpot 03-12-10 12:46 PM

Armistead 03-12-10 12:52 PM

Whatever it's gonna be, it ain't gonna be of any real value that cost them anything. The best thing would be a patch so you could play single player offline...so I could buy the game. Something silly would be a slap in the face.

When DRM goofs again....what next.

Haha! This tickled me.

Dowly 03-12-10 12:55 PM

Reminds me of the time I was playing Warhammer Online and the servers went unexpectedly down on Sunday, they gave everyone a one (1) free day to their subscriptions. :haha:

Ok, well fair enough, the gave back what people lost, but I dont think Ubi will be doing the same.

gimpy117 03-12-10 12:56 PM

it would be cool if it was a typII

its put into the .cfg
