Can someone PLEASE direct me to the following mods?

Having recently suffered a major data loss on one of my hard drives containing all my mods/patches etc I am trying to get some of those mods back. Now I understand that this request is going to piss some of you off because you will be like "how many times must we do this?! its in the forum somewhere,go find it yourself!" ,thats a risk I am prepared to take,in other words if you dont ask you dont get,and most of you arent like that anyway.Looking for all these mods is like looking for a needle in a haystack, there are just so many all over the forum and with various versions etc it quickly becomes confusing.

- A decent flags mod that improves the ship flags etc
- A good emblems pack mod
- Torpedo damage final
- Better torpedo explosions
- Better moon (generally smaller with more luminance?)
- A mod that removes the metal rim from the scopes

NOTE: I DO play using GWX3 with the latest Commander add-on.

That really is all for now,I am not much of an elitist when it comes to game mods, just a few improvements in the right areas is good enough for me.
Cheers guys

Dang!

I use AIL's Small Moon mod for SH3, which makes the mood smaller and brighter, and uses actual photographs. It's wonderful.

Unfortunately I went looking for it and found I haven't uploaded it here.

Even more unfortunate is that my computer is in storage and I can't upload it right now.

Sorry to be a tease, but you will get it someday. Promise.

Meanwhile, here is a good Emblem mod to start with:

If you would like to try the small moon mod recommended by Steve, you'll find it here :-

http://www.mediafire.com/Maik

Open SH3 Mods folder. Scroll down to Ailantd folder. The moon mod is in the ailantd_mods folder.

That is really great you two, thanks

Can I come to you two again if I need assistance?,would be better than bugging someone that is not interested in my plight ;)

For a great Flag-Mod you should look around here for Anvarts Flagmod, only few weeks old.

Thanks for that, Cheapskate. I think I have most of them up here at Subsim. If you had the moon one separate I'd grab it and put it up as well.

Pretty soon I'll have my computer back and get that out.

Just to keep the thread alive, does anyone have the link for the red nav map at night?instead of the default white map?
I know its a small mod but still, would add to the immersion a bit more
Thanks!

Paul Riley 03-03-10 06:08 AM

I got the torpedo damage final mod,now how about the most popular torpedo explosions mod?,and one that gives more realistic and volumous smoke?
Hope i'm not too much of a burden here, the reason I am doing this thread is because there are just so many mods and trying to find the ones I REALLY want would be difficult.I really appreciate all your help here and the drinks are on me when we get back to port...or IF we get back :yep:

Storm87 03-03-10 06:29 AM

http://www.speedyshare.com/files/212...ghtFilters.rar

This is from my personal collection, 4 night filters for navmap. :)

Torpedo explosion and smoke it's a bit more complicated thing. Try SH4 effect for SH3, you may find about 3-4 versions of this mod. :)

Paul Riley 03-03-10 06:34 AM

Fantastic,thanks Storm87

Paul Riley 03-03-10 06:37 AM

Do the night filters affect only the nav map?,or do they affect other areas of the UBoat also? And I expect they can only be applied one at a time,no switching between patrols?Having a switch in game would be nice, but probably hard to execute (programming wise)
Regarding the blue light I remember one was used in Das Boot in the torpedo section, any ideas as to the nature of the blue light?,why one was used?
Again,looks a good mod! :yeah:

Paul Riley 03-04-10 11:11 AM

What I really wouldnt mind at this point are better explosions and sounds from torpedo impacts, and some sort of mod that increases torpedo damage to realistic values, instead of sometimes having to use 3 just to bring a medium cargo down.I think I saw somewhere a mod/tweak that corrects torpedo damage values, but cant remember where :shucks:
Cheers.

Sailor Steve 03-04-10 04:03 PM

Wait a minute...

You have a career with 1.4 million tons, and you're complaining about ships being hard to sink? :o

Paul Riley 03-05-10 06:32 AM

Steve,
That old tonnage was with the stock game. The ships are more resilient in GWX3.A C2 (in some rare cases even a C3) cargo in stock could be brought down with 1 torp,in GWX3 I have sometimes had to expend 3 to bring a similar ship (in this case the medium cargo) down, and even then it could still be floating even though its screws have been blown off. Also, some of that old tonnage was done with the deck gun,I feel using that same tactic to be more riskier in GWX,not so much in early war though.

Cheers.
