Islam march through Wooton Bassett...
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/news...Hugh-Orde.html
Seriously... this can't go ahead. I feel so angry right now I'm having a hard time putting this rant in my head down to meaningful words!. If this goes ahead its a slap in the face for every one of the fallen who have passed through Wootton Bassett, and a failure of HM Government to defend their memory. I know freedom of speech and the right to protest is a defining symbol of this country... but there is a limit and this is WAY past it! Part of me would like to bundle the lot of these scumbags into the back of every C-130/C-17 in the RAF, fly over to Afghanistan and chuck them out the back... without a parachute. If they want to protest, then do it somewhere else. If our spineless "Government" doesn't stop this march from happening I hope people stand up for the memories of the fallen... and chuck this lot out of Wootton Bassett. The Mayor should close the town and have the people "block" them from getting in! If all else fails they should call the RAF/USAF and give them some FAC/CAS practice against these thugs... they're not protesting to make a point they're deliberately trying to cause tension and disorder. They can bloody well f**k off back to the Middle East and get on with killing each other, Muslims seem to be pretty good at it!:damn::damn::damn::damn::damn::damn::damn: |
They do not want to "protest" in your and mine understanding, Steel Tomb. They want to provoke and make us step back another small step. It's calculated.
|
Fingers crossed it won't go ahead. There last one got called off too....
The scary thing is it will bring out that BNP like group too and it will just kick off. |
And more spamming.
|
Well in this case I wouldn't call it spamming. I do personally think it is bad taste considering the group that is calling the protest and where they are protesting.
Agree with the war or not, this place has become the focal point for the dead soldiers coming home. As one man said, they should protest the government not the families of the men who have died. |

I've already seen a call-out on Facebook for Football firms to head to Wooton Bassett. If they meet up with the far-right crowd then it'll be a bloody outcome. Naturally, following that there will be more laws against the inciting of religious hatred passed.
I doubt it'll go ahead to be honest, but if it does, well, it'll make the Brixton riots look like childs play and I doubt it'll stop there, it could well spark off a number of race and religious backlashes throughout the UK. |

OTH... don't you feel slightly disgusted about this? Muslims who support the Taliban fighters, who are killing our lads... marching through the place where our fallen heroes return to their homeland?
You say its racist... I would like to know what planet your from. To me its simply upholding common sense and dignity of those who gave their lives for their country, and their families! |

No one has the right to not be offended, everyone has the right to free
association and speech. Anyhow, it's probably a shot in the foot. The more extreme the extremists get; the more they alienate those who might otherwise sympathize with them. If you don't want to give them what they consider a victory, then don't give them the reaction and publicity they desperatly seek. |

and that shooting englishmen is upholding common sense and dignity? jesus christ on a pushbike:damn:. and you call us racist for criticizing islam ? (which makes no sense whatsoever), well, then you must be a racist for hating danes/foreigners |
If rightwingers would march against this provocation, then this only is because the democratic mainstream and the oh so moderated burgois leave the need of confronting Islam to them, because they are too intimidated or too comfortable to confront it themselves. That way, opposition to Islam has been demonised as racism since many years in Europe. but fact remains that the inactivity of the politicians disgust more and more people who originally are moderate and democratic, but see that the moderate and the democratic powers completey fail on the challenge of Islam, and instead even assist it. And by that you turn more and more moderate, reasonable, democratic people if not into rightwinged extremist then at least into people silently tolerating rightwinged extremists. the minarett vote in Switzerland must be understood that way. Too great ignorrance of politicians for the real public opinion on islam, and too many people seeing that they get betrayed by those they have trusted to solve the problem.
Political extremism does not just fall from the sky, by random events. It can be explained, and in this case it is because the moderate powers fail. No other religion or political ideology gets so much media awareness today, than Islam. It is the most dominant ideology, both politically and relgiously, in europe, seen that way, it is omnipresent in the media like even the church is not, or a party's program - although muslims are still a minority only, while agreement levels to democracy are constantly falling since years amongst born europeans. but muslim colonies grow and grow in size. Imagine the noise there will be once they are strong enough to form a party collecting 10% of the votes. You do not want rightwinged radicals claiming the opposition to Islam a cause for themselves? then go to the street and march against Islam yourself, and kick politicians supporting Islam. Or become a member in a grasroot movement confronting Islamic projects, like I did myself. In the final days of the GDR, the Eastgermans marched in the streets, and their most feared and most famous slogan was "Wir sind das Volk!" - We are the people! Let no dumbheaded philantropic islam-loving politicians, who know nothing about it and will see forward that they must not live in its neighbourhood, enforce their insane policy of cultural selfdestruction upon you! We are the people of europe. So let'S send these political kamikaze gangsters to hell. fight against Islam while you still have time. Your children, when they have grown up, possibly will already find it impossible to do so with at least a realistic chance of success. |

Freedom of speech, let them protest.
The more publicity Choudaray gets the more stupid he looks. 500 protesters??????? How many did he manage to get together last time for the Anglian regiment parade after a big publicity drive and offering to lay on transport? He just about made it to double figures didn't he But seriously, the EDL going to Wooton Bassett as a counter protest? Bloody hell thats just as much of an insult to the troops and the families, maybe even more of an insult as those gob****es will be waving the same flag as the coffins are draped in when they come off the plane.
