Silent Hunter 5 "Conning tower emblem" contest
 

Ubisoft: we will launch a special contest for the Silent Hunter fans, letting them create “conning tower” emblems that will be featured in the final game. Here are the contest rules that will be posted on our official forums and website, and we would also like to have then posted on the Subsim website/forums if you agree.

1. Create a submarine conning tower emblem respecting the following:
- The emblem must identify itself in the World War 2 era
- No offensive subjects allowed
- The image must be without any background(so it can be applied to the submarine)
2. Save the image to a PNG file, with the resolution 128x128 pixels, 32 bit
3. Send the file to gkane@ubisoft.com
4. The devteam will review each image and make a first selection
5. With the selected images, a poll will be created at a later date and you guys will be able to vote for your favorite one
6. The top 10 voted conning tower emblems will be incorporated into the final game, for everybody to see and use
You have one month to create and send in your images (steps 1-3) starting today, Friday October 2nd , up to Monday November 2nd

FINAL UPDATE: The submission time is over. Over 150 emblems have been submitted! Good Job! Now it's the dev's turn to make the first selection, and you will be able to start voting for your favorite one starting on the 14th of December!

SH5 tower emblem competition
 

Check this out a tower emblem competition has been announced at Gameshadow to take place on the SH5 Ubi forums, (includes a video with Alexandru Gris of the SH5 devteam).

I sent one submission in for the contest after I saw longam's post. She looks better at this size than the 128x128 pixel resolution they requested, but those are the rules. Wish me luck.

Maybe I should also design something with soup in it. ;)
