Of course the Government doesnt monitor your online activity
Went to the U.S. Navy website the other day... within 3 days i received a recruiting brochure. coincidence? i think not.
:hmmm::D |
Might be your ISP selling your information, not just the "end" site
|
I got **** loads of recruiting brochures when I turned 18, probably just the government wanting your soul.

trouble is that was 12 years ago... :haha: |

I went to the Alcoa website to look around. They sent me a TinFoil Hat. :DL |
:har:
well it was a first for me. I have never once received any "snail mail" related to my browsing activities before. if thats the case i should receive boat loads of airplane, airline, flight school, and subsim related stuff. not to mention a freight truck full of dirty magazines :har: |
So did you check out the brochure?

1. the only thing i ever wanted to join the navy for was to be a pilot, this was of course 12-15 years ago. in 1999 i had Lasik surgery which according to recruiters disqualified me from the position. I have since been modestly successful in the civilian aviation industry so it sort of defeats the purpose of joining the navy at this point. 2. I have absolutely no interest in scrubbing the head of some old rust bucket LST day in and day out for the next four years. 3. I have no desire to work under the direct command authority of our current administration. |

You want junk mail buy a house. The sheer volume I get now is amazing.
|
you dont have to buy a house at all.
just rent one. hell rent an apartment. the sure fire way to get paper wasted is to put up a mailbox somewhere. I have always wondered what would happen if i built a home and didnt build a mailbox |

I remember once when we changed ISPs, I received by first piece of span less than one minute after registering my new E-mail address.
ISPs don't waste any time in selling your information. :nope: |
You can avoid the majority of junk mail in the UK by simply registering on this website:
http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/mpsr/mps_choosetype.html You can also e-mail the Royal Mail to stop unaddressed junk mail arriving on your doorstep. Works, too! |

Wasent there a big uproar just the other day about alot of pepole recieving unsolicited main from .gov. The feds were 'looking into' how the mailing list was produced. http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/..._email_on.html |
Just use a bogus name when you order stuff, or sign up for stuff. That's how I track who's selling my name. My biggest sorce of junk mail comes from the Military bookclub. Rocky McBee gets some pretty cool junkmail though.

the best thing to do is to create a phantom e mail. when you sign up for internet service... create a primary e mail address and a "phantom" address. e mail all your relatives, friends, associates etc with the primary address. use the "phantom" address only for internet orders etc. i also recommend Gmail. i have used a primary address through g mail since it first came out... since then i have only received perhaps half a dozen spam messages in that time frame. |
I know many people who have a "spam" e-mail address.
I also invent unique middle initials in my name to track who is selling my information. |
