They are remaking V
I remember the original well, packed a really big whallop at the time. Now they are remaking it as a series, may be worth a look.
|
I remember 'V'. Been a long time and I recall only watching maybe 1 or 2 episodes.
|
V - "Dallas" in space! :D Well, I watched it back then, at least sometimes. But today I think about it: terrible. A real soap opera. But that blond woman playing that rebel group leader - she really was a looker! [sigh]
|
Jane Badler (Diana): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jane_Badler was pretty hot then. I watched a few episodes of the series & found it to be like a lot of mid-80's tv programs: pure drivel...
|
I meant Faye Grant.

Damb best show ever.. I'm really not looking forward to the new release of the V revive. I think like they do to many classics is rewrite cannon and story to suit the present newer audience. :nope: All special effects and no good story... Well V stories where cheezy too but hey who can beat that lovely lizard named diana above.. She was a hot lizzard muahahahahah. |
It will fail. Sci-fi shows lately have had a REALLY hard time getting viewers. The general public who watch TV with a few exceptions, don't even have anything Sci-Fi cross their radar.
Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles is cancelled, yet "Dancing with the Stars" is still on and will be coming back !?! Is there NO JUSTICE !?! Look at Firefly and Terminator for instance. The writing was excellent for both. The acting was decent. They were very entertaining, yet the fast majority of people havn't even HEARD of them. |
Y?:D

And now, twice as old, I am returning to that habit: I currently buying off second hand SF novels that I missed in the 70s, 80s. Much of them are nbo longer in print, and SF book releases since the 90s are crap for the most. currently I am into David Brin. Next will be a recommendation by friends, Gregory Benford. Does anyone know them? |
If they remake V maybe they can actually finish it.
|
I'd rather watch "The House of Elliot"
|
Ha, I remember all of those scenes:up:. Remaking it as a new series, though...:hmmm::-?
Hey hollywood writers, how about you come up with an original idea, instead of remaking everything. I'm still waiting for the remake of Titanic myself. I think they'll ruin it, in this age of PCness:shifty:. I won't elaborate. [insert obama influence here] |
