Been a long time since I have posted here...

Hope everyone is OK and healthy...



I have been unable to install my SHIII and the thing is
That since I have changed some harware , processor and other stuff
of my PC I can no longer install it I thinK...


So here is my umble sugestion!

If anyone is intressted in continuing any of my Mods, or U_Boat 1.2 mod
I will gladly pack all I have including graphics and All stuff 3D that I have
made and send it to a Modder That is wanting it...

The objective is in fact that I sadly can not update my mods anymore cause can not even install the game....to check them...

So here is my Offer for any modder that wants it...

I think its the 64 Processor that is not supported by the game !

thats the same processor ive been running for the last few years with no probs

And how did you instaled the silent Hunter III game, cause the SH4 I also can install without probs but the SHIII nope...:88)

I wasn't aware that DirectX 10.0 was made available for XP :hmm:
Wasn't it made for Vista and win7 only?

Sure it's not 9.0c?

Anyway, maybe it's because of SP3. I have heard rumours that it made some software not work on all mashines after installation.

Your pc is fine. It should run the game smoothly. Dx 10 and XP is no go. Dx 10 is only for Vista. Click Start- Run-type dxdiag -an it should show all the info about DX version and problems or right click on My Computer -Properties.
My pc is;
Amd64 single core 3800@2.4ghz
Gigabyte K8npro sli
2gb ddr 400mhz
Ati 3850 512 ddr3 670mhz core/700mhz memory
Creative Xfi extreme gamer
I have Microsoft Windows Xp sp3
Everyhing works fine.
Are you sure you have everything installed properly?

JCwolf I don't understand why you can't install SH3. I have intstalled it on two different rigs using Vista ultimate 32 and 64. It should work flawless on XP even SP3.

Can you give us your installation process?

Unless SP3 has newer security feature similar to Vista then you need to make your USER have access to installations,

Vista it's right click and run as an administrator. ;)

Same with the patches.

Same with playing the game. Until you set it up right. :up:

But I haven't try xp sp3 yet so I really don't know. :-?

It has to be the DirectX 10 and XP. Everything else is fine.

I have finally instaled it without progs...

And only had to change the damn DVD player Firmware--- Imagine !:D



Now for patching it again and then instal the latest GWX that have to download it again...

Another thing that goes wierd at my PC..

Large downloads usually for me come with a lot of corrupted files...

Don't ask me why cause I have no idea..
but I think it haves to be with the modem DMZ cause office allways is telling
me to disable it or it will corrypte my files downloaded !

Well I am a PC assembler not a Tech master...:roll:
