[REL] Imperial Germany Mod - IGM
After more of 8 months hard Work I FINALLY finished and proudly presents you: IMPERIAL GERMANY MOD v1.0 FOR GWX Expansion http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...84/IGMNEW3.jpgABOUT CREATING IGM MOD: I created this mod because wish to made dress uniforms for crew in SH3 and went remove swastikas from GUI of GWX mod. I HATE Nazi regime but from other side I like and respect some of German officers: General Erwin Rommel, General Heinz Guderian, Dr. Wernher von Braun and most of Kriegsmarine officers. I use Imperial Germany/Deutsches Kaiserreich and Imperial Navy/Kaiserliche Marine emblems because Otto von Bismarck is one of my favorite history person and Imperial flag is better looking for me. I got idea for this mod when I playing naval arcade/simulation game ENIGMA: RISING TIDE (ERT) http://www.warfleet.net/index2.htm. Game ERT is set into an alternative history (Nazi never rise to power). I WORK ON IGM MOD IN MY FREE TIME/WHEN I HAVE FREE TIME, FULLY ALONE WITHOUT ANY HELP FROM OTHER PEOPLE … I MADE THIS NEW THREAD about IGM mod because I vent add all information about mod directly from begin of post with download links and with [REL] STANDARD IN TITLE LIKE OTHER FINISHED MODS ON THIS FORUM! Features of IGM
I made/ release this mod in three different mod versions FOR COVER THE MOST GROUP OF SH3 PLAYERS:
Features OF IGM VERSION A: 1. Replace original GWX crew uniforms with dress version (mostly based on real WW2 Germany KM dress uniform but with custom made Imperial Germany embalms) 2. Replace all hull textures of all types of subs in game with new ones, expect Type XIV and Type XXIII -New color scheme - lower hull in red, black line and upper hull in gray with camo and Imperial Flag on hull. 3. Remove swastikas from all GUI in game and replace some in game “documents” with modified ones. 4. Add Imperial embalms and flags to all Germans units in game. 5. Change American and Croatian aircraft embalms. 6. Add 16 new gramophone music songs like Heil dir im Siegeskranz, Preussens Gloria, Des Kaiserreiches Gloria, U-boat Lied (2 versions) and many others nice march songs! KNOWN BUGS: I made these uniform best which I know. But they still have two old STUPID BUGS! 1. STRANGE SHADOWS IN SUB INTERIOR 2. SAILOR RANKS BUG - sailors rank don't make full cover my custom emblems on sailor sleeve. I don't know way to fix it! And I ask if you can help me resolve these bugs? Features OF IGM VERSION B: 1. Iako neki igraci govore da tvoj mod nije dobar i povijesno tocan, ja mislim da je OK. Zapravo je vrlo dobar, kako si i sam rekao da ne volis nacisticka znakovlja tako ocito ima jos igraca koji ce prepoznati ovaj mod i vidjeti u njemu savrsenu zamjenu za njemacka znakovlja u SH3. Svaki mod ima svoga igraca pa tako i tvoj. Tvoj mod je dobar i odlicno pristaje u alternativnu proslost. :up: |

Sorry, for delay in IGM work progress. After one month of pausing on my work on IGM update I am start work on IGM update and I finish reskin work on Type XXIII sub. (Unfortunately, this small but nice sub is AI controlled only) I will update pictures on IGM deployment thread very soon :arrgh!: |

Look man, I don't want to make myself rude or impolite here. But I must say u're asking for donation in the wrong place. Ppl gather here to enjoy and share SH3 experience and impression and u're starting to tell your story where nobody asked for this.
I have a sister which is disabled too from her first week of birth due to medics fault. But I'm not asking here for ppl to donate for the brain disease which can't be cured. So think about this again. Nobody wants to hear a sad stories, cuz lots of ppl has to deal with their own daily problems. And as for the mod.. can't say I'm impressed at all. It would be ok to look in WW1 timeline. Removal of the swastikas woun;t change the history u know. but it will have negative impact for game realism :nope: Which as u know is not cool. |

While many people play this game for the "feel" of being a u-boat captain in World War II, I seriously doubt many embrace the ideals of the Nazi party. And in certain countries, any representation of the ideals those thugs stood for is illegal (which bears some irony when conisdering this game was made under the banner of a French company). Let's not forget what those swastikas represent. I am left feeling somewhat sick at the romanticizing of the Kriegsmarine and U-bootwaffe. "They weren't really Nazis." is a glossing over of the facts about those captians and their crews. Those men still wore the swastika and did nothing to stand against it. They fought to support and propagate the rule of Hitler and the Nazi Party. There was nothing noble in that. Funny how there was not a single Nazi to be found when the Allies rolled into Berlin. Everyone swore they were gum-chewing, American-loving, democrats who were held in the grip of fear to do things against their will. Bah! :stare: Ah, well. Time erodes all things, including belief in what is right and wrong. The ships still sink and the u-boats still dive the same as they have done with other visual mods. The mechanics are still "real". Only the paint scheme and government has changed. If you feel you must be a "virtual" Nazi to play this game then you don't have to download this mod. I applaud your efforts, Wolf359! You've made this game far more enjoyable for those who do not wish to sail under the flag of butchers. As if somehow it's less aggressive or offensive to kill under a different symbol... BWaaaahaaaahaaaa haaa....me says. You should have went ALL the way and painted Peace symbols on the subs!! Gentlemen, please cool it a little bit in the thread. If someone wants Imperial German boats, why not? It's a game. Alternate history can be pretty fun, too, if you have a bit of imagination. So can super-realistic roleplay. Let's not deny either one to people who want to engage in them - and leave those options open and rightly valid.

And why u ppl thing that swastika is the only sign of evil ? pls watch a movie called: "Soviet story" and u will change your mind soon on who was who years before nazis became an evil power. Where the whole world knew about Stalin's crimes against humanity which lasted from 1932 and lots of years after the WW2 and did nothing to stop it! Agreed, Contact. The red star is even more infamous than the swastika, yet few in the western countries know just how terrible it really was.
Stalin butchered more of his own countrymen in the name of "solidarity" than Hitler ever dreamed of with the Holocaust. This is just a game. It is only a simulation by the greatest stretch of the term. How you go about sinking ships has nothing to do with political belief in this game, whether your sub is pink or you prefer to strap POWs to your torpedoes before launching them. As I said before, if any of you feel you must have the Third Reich in this game to make you happy, then you're free to do so but coming down on Wolf359 for his choice to "rewrite" history to prevent the promotion of fascism is not only rude but another form of fascism of its own kind. This mod is still a work of great craftsmanship and many hours of labor. Wolf worked hard on it and I really doubt that any of his critics have the will to create such a large mod of their own. As it has been observed in so many mod forums...it is far easier to bitch like a spoiled girl than it is to create. You ought to be ashamed of yourselves for such behavior. :nope: But, then again, you'll cry just as loudly when the modders disappear completely to leave you hanging...like you did when driving off some very brilliant talents we used to have around here. I salute you for your skill and creativity, Wolf359! Keep at it and don't give up! You've got talent. :rock: |
