The most ridiculous headline of the week
Clinton Calm in Hostage Crisis
From 436 miles away? How did she do it? What an amazing sence of clarity under crisis. "It affected me not only because they were my staff members and volunteers, but as a mother, it was just a horrible sense of bewilderment, confusion, outrage, frustration, anger, everything at the same time," Clinton said. At the same time, the woman striving to move from former first lady to the first female president was eager to convey that she knew the traditional lines of command and control in a crisis, even if the events inside the storefront on North Main Street were far short of a world calamity. |

Hillary Had Bouts of Depression As First Lady More to follow. http://in.news.yahoo.com/070602/139/6gkoj.html Does the world really want someone who is depressed to have access to the destruction of humanity? If she doesn't feel well about herself one day .................. we all die. |

PLAN B Move to England if all else fails. ;) |
Hillary is about as warm and loving as an iceberg. Of course she did not give a hoot. This was just some good free press time and how she stands up in a time of crisis. Personally, she acted poorly and responded poorly in the interviews. What she should have done was call the office and talked to the guy. But hey, the media complains she does not talk to them so this guy does not even make the list, even if it concerns a pipe bomb and few human beings being held hostage with it. Nice job Hillary.....good luck when there is a real crisis of greater magnitude.

Gotta Luv Hilary
Hey, if Bush hasn't managed to start WWIII what makes you think Hillary would be anymore successful? I think President Hillary will do a fine job in straightening out this country!

Hillary's got the blues

Wow! Who could image someone going through a rough patch in their marriage being diagnosed as clinically depressed? What does that say about the alcoholic president we currently have? Will he go on a binge and nuke India on behalf of Musharraf? No, of course not. Please try to be at least a little realistic. |

It is one thing to stand by your principles. It is another to not see different viewpoints on extremely complicated issues like Iraq and immigration. |

I know Bill pushed NAFTA as did his predecessor, and Hillary has come out saying it should be reviewed. I don’t know that she ever had a pro-NAFTA stance other than supporting her husband. I think NAFTA does need our attention.
As for abortion, I’ve never known her stance to be other than pro-choice. On torture she advocates following the Geneva Convention but does not condemn questionable techniques like waterboarding. Is that a surprise? From what I’ve seen John McCain is the only candidate to outright denounce torture. The debated technique is waterboarding. I’m sure if you spelled out all of the things one could or could not use for interrogation you would get a more definitive response. Ask a vague question, get a vague answer. On Guantanamo, I’m not aware of any stance change. Perhaps you could be more specific. On campaign fundraising, I view it as the same mudslinging the GOP did during the last Clinton campaign. The fact is, accusations flew but nothing could be substantiated. It would greatly disturb me if Hillary was selling out to the Chinese and as so would not receive my vote. But, aside from right-wing accusations there has been no evidence. Another fact that you are missing is special interest groups are going to find a way to contribute to any horse they think might win the race. The Chinese were suspected of doing the same thing on the other side of the table. http://hsgac.senate.gov/index.cfm?FuseAction=PressReleases.Detail&Affiliat ion=C&PressRelease_id=318&Month=4&Year=2003 But no action because of no real evidence. So who is to say what is real and what is rhetoric? I’d like to thing our overwhelmingly right-wing justice system would happily snap the cuffs on Hillary is she were really doing anything illegal. By the way, the delay in your response tells me you actually research and give thought to your argument. That is more than a lot of people do and I appreciate it! |
