Attacked by Gato class sub
 

Anyone been attacked by a Gato class sub off Charleston harbour mid-1943?I was cruising on the surface when shell splashes appeared off my port bow.Looking with my Zeiss binoculars spotted a US Gato class sub shelling me.Insolent bastard trying to sink my beloved U-181,Alarmmmmm,took a hit on my forward tubes while diving.By the time my experten crew fiixed my tubes he had dived & I lost contact. I know the feeling some time ago I came across one in rough weather and the fecking son of a bitch blasting his deck gun at me. I took a lot of damage closing in then I gave him four of my best eels three of them slammed into the bitch and set that stinking Gato to the bottom.

How DARE the insolent allies oppose the Kriegsmarine!:stare:

Next time... order that Gato to stand still while you guys shoot at it.

I coem across one near the Malacca Straits whilst sailing out of Penang in 44. Didn't get a bead on me though cos the weather was crap. I didn't bother to sink him either cos I was chasing down a convoy.

Peh! Gato's....this is the result of the last time one dared cast their dark shadow across my path :x
