Yup, that's the intro to The Yellow Rose of Texas (which I edited to be a bit longer so the singing doesn't kick in), and yes, it was for the benefit of Onkel Neal, but also because it could be fairly loud and not interfere with the dialogue, and of course it sounds very 'military' too. I was actually going to have the US sub called the 'Texas' too, for the same reason, but I just thought calling it the 'Flapjack' was funny, so Flapjack it was. You know me, I'll always go for the cheap laugh over anything else!
