[REL] RMS Aquitania in both Cunard and Grey War colors
A pause while Aquila is under costruction..
Modified whit UBOAT234 authorization, a new NLUS, more AQUITANIA stile i think.. http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/3...aniafinlp1.jpg Just because i love the ocean liners (Cunard :yep: ) Aquitania was the only four funnel ocean liners in service in ww2; she's survived both great wars! thank to UBOAT234 for original NLUS, and for the authorization to rework it! |
really looks great!
i like 4 funnels :) looking forward to it  |
Both excellent models. Would be very hard to fire on them!

Aquitania
Very good work - can't wait to see the finished product released.:yep: I like the bridge - did you use parts of the NPTR to make it? It does look quite accurate - good choice.
And of course, praise goes to UBOAT234 for making the original model, as you mentioned. |

WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!       I WANT IT!!!!!!!!
Not to be a "rompiballe", but i cant see if you have righted the bow. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...uitania_06.jpg http://www.bryking.com/aquitania/aquitania2.jpg |
Yes, i have righted the bow ^_^ and i'm also modifying other things, like funnel position, "pipes" near the bow, stern objects, superior deck..
You will see soon ^^ |
News of the first day (and delay in relesase >_<)
I just have some problems with the cables, and this will delay the release.. :damn:
Wait.. just a day? :hmm: Tomorrow i will work on it, now i go to my bed.. http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/5...itania2zh4.jpg For now, a screen with the last uptates: solved the floating problem, i've reworked and added some parts.. Good night ^^ |
Fixed last problems..
I'm glad to release RMS Aquitania, in both Cunard and Gray War colors. Thank to UBOAT234 for autorizathion to mod original "nlus_" file, and for a lot of advices :yep: you can download it here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/qv1ghj |
Hi,
I just saw the time difference between your "good-night" and your "release". For sure: you do NOT sleep, eat or have to go to the place where even Goering went alone? I'm astonished when I compare your picture with the real life picture. Beancounter as I am (part of my skill profile :D) I see still a mismatch in the shape of the bridge, or is it just me? Anyway:  |
Thank you everyone ^^
for u49: the bridge is too high compared with the photo, but after pre-ww2 Aquitania refit a new bridge has been addes over the old.. i think this (beautyfull) photo show the pre-refit Aquitania.. but now i'm no sure ^^ I'll see, and eventually modify; thank you for the advice :sunny: |

Very nice VonDos. A shame to blow her up.
Thanks. |
After your magnific work with Aquitania & Aquila, can you try British Carriers like Eagle, Furious and Courageaus. It's a pity only Illustrious is in game.
Thanks in advance. |
Coronas, what can i say? Aquila for now is just a WIP..
she will require a lot of time.. (guns, hull, non3d nodes...) :damn: but the future is looong ;) |
It's always a little sad to read up on those ships that have gone through so much and been there for so many people even saved them as a hospital ship, and then were just broken up like any piece of metal. Getting nostalgic here ...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMS_Aquitania I felt the same way when I read about the first aircraft carrier named Enterprise. Most decorated ship of the war. Served the whole time and participated in every major operation and after the war was just scrapped. Seems kind of heartless. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Enterprise_%28CV-6%29 Lets hope the fastest Ocean Liner of all times will survive and someone will find a way to make her useful again. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ss_united_states |
