[REL]Groton Naval Acadamy Mod

This mod changes the location and type of sub used in the Submarine School Missions. It changes the Sub to a S-Class and the area to Long Island Sound off Groton Ct.

Hope you enjoy.;)

Attention pleasure boaters:
Just don't go with-in the safety zone off the Thames river or the grumpy guys on the 'FAST' Zodiac will be coming to speak with you.

Did a allot of boating between Westerly and New London, was such a treat to see the Trident Subs going through the 'Race' on the way out to sea.

TEC: So if you go through training with a high score, is there a way to add as performance bonus to your command and crew ratings when starting a Career campaign?

WilhelmSchulz. 08-27-07 11:32 AM

Dont think so.

It would be nice if the target ship could be towed (a la RFB) and the target ship changed to an old US four stacker for even more realism.

I had thought about useing a Clemenson but there would be issues with the hydrophones if I where to make it Japanise. :hmm: Its a torpedo attack course not a Destroyer evision course.

Ducimus 08-27-07 11:04 PM

If you inherit the clemons data files, then create a new object out of it, and assign it to japan, youve made it it's own type of ship. . And being it's own type of ship, could assign it any sensor you wanted (or lack thereof), and not have it effect the "real" clemenson. Also If you create this new ship as a destroyer escort, it has no chance of spawning in the normal game, thereby keeping it unique, and out of normal play.

like you did with the "Dinsdale Tincan"?

I like it but I was thinking of useing a USN Clemenson as so tbe be escorted out of port, there just needs to be a port.

Exactly like Dinsdales tincan. If you note, i acutally have TWO versions of it. One with ASW sensors, and one without. Orginaly i tried to create Dinsdale as his own bloody nation and align it with the axis, but i ran into a few problems (would always show up as neutral as opposed to axis), so i stuck him in the japanese roster instead. It would be nothing to "clone" a clemenson, and do the same with it.

Clemson, people, Clemson.

:p

Ducimus 08-28-07 12:54 AM

When im typing fast, i try to spell correctly, but i dont go back very much if i don't. You'd think all these little red lines would annoy me enough to fix them, but i don't. :88)

FIREWALL 08-28-07 01:18 AM

Excellent WS  I asked for something like this about a month ago.

I guess someone was listening. :yep: Thx.
