That was quick! Thanx again, lethal.

Very nice thank you. I can't wait to load it up. But before I do...
I noticed you had versions for 1024, 1280 and 1600 horizontal resolutions. My monitor's native res is 1920. Can I use the 1600 version while running the game at 1920 without any game affecting inaccuracies? If not, can I adjust the dds file so I can use it? Not sure what app to use with that. Photoshop maybe? Thanks JD |
Thanks for doing the extra work l3th4l
You made my day making the nice clear glass effects as you know!
|
can i use this in conjuntion with tm1.6 ie install along side , or does tm1.6 already have an earlier version of this mod .

the steps are pretty easy: you say you have a native res. of 1920 - 1920 is 1.2 times 1600. in order to have the bearing scale accurate again you need to scale the width (not the height though, or you'll get some clipping along the top and bottom) of it by 1.2 and save. be advised that you'll need a width that is a multiple of 4 for dds files so you may need to adjust the resulting width by 1 or 2 pixels. to be able to open dds files in photoshop you need that dds plugin from nvidia. get it here. |

Beautiful work !
Tested and using the DirtyAsHell variant from now on. Thanks for that ! |
l3th4l,
I use your 1.4 version, an outstanding mod thankyou. I notice you are considering other resolutions for 1.5. May I make a request for 1440 x 900 please? Thanks again. Fish |

it's NOT like the bearing strip doesn't show exactly which direction you are looking - that part is *always* 100% accurate. i tried making it even more useful by making the markings that are off to the left and right also be accurate. that can be see by the fact that the lines remain static on a place instead of appearing to "float". |
does your mod have a typical 1680*1050 widescreen res variant ?
Thats my native on my 22" samsung 226bw.. moose. |
Nice work

thanks for your effort.. moose.. |
edit: new version released. hopefully that will take care of that. otherwise i'm sure you'll let me know ;)

I see in the readme that there are supposed to be the green lines, but the mod I downloaded here is grey colored, and I cannot see any of the markings on the scope at night. Any plan for a release to change the scope markings to dark green like it was in v1.2 i believe?

Hate to be a pest so long after the release, but I can't seem to get this thing to work after attempting to scale it up. I don't use adobe,so I cant use the nvidia plugin. I converted it with dds converter v21, scaled it using jasc, converted it back, re-enabled it... and got a solid black scope. Call me braindead, but I'm at a loss here and would really like to get this up to 2560. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

i'll take a look once i'm finished with what i'm doing atm. which is already more than one project ;)
my plan was to actually make the lines all change color from day to night but unfortunately i wasn't able to find a solution to some problems related to this. making them all gray is my attempt to work around some of those problems - once i figured out how to get them all to change color i'll release an updated version. as for scaling the scope up - which part of it do you mean? the scope itself *should* be scaled up automatically by the game; only the bearing indicator seems to be of fixed size and requires some scaling when using a resolution currently not supported... actually it already works, just not as well as intended. |
Sorry for not being specific... The bearing indicator is solid black. I dont know if I pooched something in all the conversions or touched something I shouldn't have in jasc.
(doubled the horizontal pixel count of 1280 file.. tried to clean up the humbers a bit with the pencil tool... pooched) |
