Aircraft Carrier Truman
The following picture is off Jacksonville FL. One of my team A&E (ammo and explosive) trucks took this picture. Their son serves on the Truman. She was able to capture the lighting strike as it happened. One in a million shot for sure. Enjoy!

Lovely pic! :D |
Very fortuitous, great photo. If someone was trying to take a picture of a lightning strike on purpose, it's easy to do: just leave your shutter open until the strike and then close it. The shutter there was only open for 1/8 second so the person was either very lucky or used some other wizardry. Thanks for posting AVG.

They launched one of those rockets with a copper cable attached.
Did it land on the Carrier or somewhere behind it? Quick, somebody find a plane nicknamed Lightning make a joke out of it. |
Looks like an UFO trying to zap the carrier with a lightning bolt. The dirty grey men are at it again...

I certainly remember hearing it from the media. |

Now if you read my post I said "I believe it was G Bush" I did not emphatically state it was G Bush that said this statement. Hence by response on Rumsfeld with question mark. Be that as it may....... In all reality "he" could be anyone. Hence your question, 'Who is he?" My response, "I believe G Bush". The word "believe" meaning I'm not sure. But instead of setting the record straight that you do not BELIEVE he said this or anyone else other than the media without some support information leads me to wonder just what you are after:hmm: Ok, the 'he' was the media guy...... Sound good? |

I appreciate your honesty in the end and hope that in the future you won't spread mis/dis-information based on your political stand or the stand of the media. Cheers wg |
